fantasy premier league game week 3 – Man City V QPR – the immediate reaction

various

Here’s the immediate reaction for fantasy premier league managers to the 5.30 pm game today

Man City 3 QPR 1

Man City lined up in 4-4-2 with Mancini springing a surprise and putting Kolarov at LB.  The pattern seems to be Nasri and Silva on the flanks for home games so it will be interesting to see who will line up for the next away game.  YYT is a fixture and Rodwell is holding the place before Garcia takes over for the next fantasy premier league game week.  Tevez and surprisingly Dzeko started so there’s no way of picking Tevez strike partner it seems.  so Tevez and YYT are the only safe attacking options at the moment and in defence now that Maicon has arrived only Kompany and maybe Lescott if you believe the KToure game time recently was an aberration.

For QPR it was also 4-4-2 and surprisingly cheapie Nelsen lined up with Ferdinand who seems a fixture if you want QPR defensive representation for some reason.  Boswinga and Fabio were on the flanks.  In midfield you’ve got Park Granaro SWP and Faurlin so passing rather than defensive steel in Diakite.  Upfront surprisingly Johnson made his first start.  All of this makes Hughes rather hard to pick. Taarabt wasn’t even on the bench.   Its a good thing that the fixtures are not good and the team is rubbish at the moment and there’s no reason to be bothered about what team is selected.  I think once the fixtures start improving then there has to be value here with so much money being spent and with the values benchmarked relatively low.  Its just whether the strikers can score enough and the defence can keep enough out because there isnt a real top quality player centrally in either position unless you believe the hype I was giving Cisse who was also on the bench.

Anyway as for the game.  The first half City started at a quick pace and scored and then relaxed a bit and looked to counter attack.  At times it looked like a training game as they passed it around without any pressure on them at all from QPR.  Second half saw QPR come in to the game and in the end could have got something including 2 chances to Nelsen.

The city defence conceded again and looked a mess at times. My faith is being stretched!
