FANTASY PREMIER LEAGUE GAMEWEEK 30 TIPS – 4 TRANSFERS TO CONSIDER

Firstly I’d like to say that these transfer suggestions are meant to give you a change that will increase your probability of better points. However there can never be a guarantee of points improvement. So please consider the options and the rationale but ultimately make up your own mind and accept responsibility for your decision.

Remember detailed stats on all players are in the player rankings articles:

COLEMAN OUT VALENCIA IN

I imagine this is the most common and most obvious transfer of the week .  However that doesn’t mean it’s wrong.

With the Everton RB Coleman out for the season you get an upgrade on defensive strength with the Man Utd clean sheet potential and an immediate return prospect plus better fixtures.  You also get a DGW34 and a likely DGW37 whereas Coleman didn’t have the benefit of either.  Underlying stats wise, as you’ll see from the excellent squawka comparison site you lose goal threat with Coleman but gain assist potential.  You do also suffer more rotation risk with Valencia due to the Europa League.

REID OUT CEDRIC IN

The West Ham defence is already a complete shambles with the Kiwi CB in place so I dread to think what it will be like without him out injured until GW35 minimum.  With Cedric , the Southampton RB, you get a far better defence and 2 double gameweeks ahead.  The immediate return prospects are also better.

You can’t really compare CB underlying stats to full backs but here it is anyway.  Obviously Winston Reid has more goal threat but less assist threat.  However I thought I would also add on Southampton LB Ryan Bertrand who is more expensive at £5.5m but interestingly has made half the pro rata key passes that Cedric has.  He may have had more converted than Cedric with 5 assists to Cedric’s 1 but maybe there is some regression coming.

Add in Arsenal (H) most likely GW35/36

LALLANA OUT PEDRO IN

fantasy premier league gameweek 30 tips - 4 transfers to consider. Lallana out Pedro in

I’m surprised at the number of transfers out still of Lallana.  I’m all for patience with FPL players and not knee jerking after 1 blank.  However, when a player has blanked for 10 consecutive games then you’ve got to ask yourself questions.  An injury on international duty has him with no return date at the moment.

If you haven’t got a 2nd wildcard in place then Pedro makes particular sense as a transfer given that they have good fixtures coming up and eventually a likely DGW37.  Pedro is great value for a Chelsea player regularly playing in the front 3 of 3-4-3 and in that sense is an upgrade on Lallana who mostly plays further back.

In terms of underlying stats it’s interesting with Pedro having more shots in the area but less accurately

KANE OUT COSTA IN

Again another pretty obvious transfer but one that will get you the likely captain favourite for this gameweek.

Kane is apparently injured until GW33 although that seems ambitious given the original thoughts about the injury.

Also as I said for Pedro a good time to get Costa  in if you don’t have a 2nd wildcard up your sleeve as Chelsea have good next fixtures and a likely DGW37 ahead.

Underlying stats wise Costa compares reasonably well
