fantasy premier league gameweek 37 – the early bandwagons and sinking ships

Fantasy Premier League

Here’s the early fantasy premier league gameweek 37  early bandwagons and sinking ships ie the 3 most transferred in and out players so far in fantasy premier league gameweek 37.  I did a few more sinking ships this week as there were a few very interesting ones.

The Bandwagons

Walcott

Well over twice the number of transfers in than anyone else.  I’m in total agreement of this.  Underlying stats fell off over the last few weeks but against QPR they were back to their best as he was easily Arsenals best attacking threat.  Podolski seems to suit his style as he drifts left giving space to Walcott in the centre and Sagnas runs then fill that gap.  24 points in his last 3 games  is pretty impressive. Wigan Home and Newcastle Away are games that scream goals as both teams need to win and the chase for goals as a result could end up in those Arsenal counter attacks which Walcott in particular is so dangerous with.  BUY

Bale

Really?  There are 9,000 people who needed last week to convince them that buying Bale is needed as opposed to before he had a DGW?  BUY

Fellaini

Interesting one this.  An obvious swap for Michu on the history of this year particularly as he is 2nd to Michu in the season shooting stats.  West Ham at home is a good fixture although their defence away from home is not to be sniffed at.  Fellaini in the context of playing against one of the best home defences in Liverpool had quite a good game getting a couple of shots in the box but just off target.  He was certainly back in an advanced position but his pen box touches were poor.  With Gibson back he’s likely to keep that advanced position.  He’s certainly got a lot of motivation if you believe that he’s looking to prove himself to get a big club transfer.  The Chelsea away game is what puts me off though.  Even allowing for the fact that Chelsea would have played the Europa league final 4 days before to me its just too difficult game and there are better options.  Its an IGNORE for me

The Sinking Ships

Michu

Wont play again this season according to the manager.  SELL

Suarez

Surprised its taken people this long to sell him given the 10 game suspension he suffered a few weeks ago.  SELL

Rafael

Sent off yesterday.  No sign of any appeal and no grounds for doing it on the face of it unless you count Luiz laughing at the same time he was down in pain. An automatic 3 game ban and wont play again SELL

Sessegnon

Another player who wont play again due to suspension.  SELL

YYT

If you missed my tweets then here they are:

Mancini “Yaya had a problem in the warm-up & he was not 100%. His muscle was tired, for this reason we took him off”

Guardian report that YYT will “almost certainly” miss the WBA game

Personally I would never have bought him as just doesn’t get in to the box enough for me but if I had him I wouldn’t sell him with Reading A and Norwich H as the last 2 games.  Especially as it seems he will be fit for the F Cup final.  Even if he only played 1 game its a decent fixture. HOLD for me.

Lambert

Again not a player I favour although you cant argue with 14 goals and 8 assists for his value looking back.  He’s a player who has bucked the shooting stats due to pens and free kicks and his ability to create chances so he’s over returned his underlying stats which makes me a little nervous.   However I wouldn’t be selling him now with Sunderland A and Stoke at Home, both games which could produce goals and penalties given the defensive style f 1 team and the inept defenders (and sometimes midfielders) in the other team.

That’s it hope it gives you some food for thought going in to fantasy premier league gameweek 37
