THE BANDWAGONS

These are the 5 most transferred in players so far in the gameweek

KEY:

PPM: FPL Points per match
Consistency: the % of games that a player gets a goal or assist
Fixt ease: The ease of the next 6 and 3 fixtures (6/3) coming up. The lower the better fixtures
ICT PM: The ICT scores per match. These are taken from the FPL website and are there to represent the players underlying stats. I is influence, C creativity and T threat. The underlying stats that will represent the possibility of a goal or assist
Last 4: The last 4 matches played and the % of games that the player gets a goal or assist
ATGS odds: The anytime goalscoring odds for the next match from 1 bookie. Its £’s return for £1 invested

WALCOTT

The Arsenal RWM who has failed to live up to expectation season after season is finally delivering.  2 goals against Swansea and it should have so easily been a hat trick.  He’s returned in the last 4.  The underlying stats are fantastic.  This is no fluke.  His price is incredible for his potential to score points.  2 great games next

Next 6 fixtures

Middlesbrough (H)
Sunderland (A)
Spurs (H)
Man Utd (A)
Bournemouth (H)
West Ham (A)

ALLEN

2 goals playing as a CAM for Stoke make it 4 goals in the last 3 games.  That doesn’t even take into account a screamer for Wales in the WCQs last week.  He’s already scored as many as he’s ever scored in the last 5 seasons although to be fair he was in the main playing CM.  The underlying stats are a little questionable whether they support his output but at this price and with these fixtures you really can’t go wrong.  It’s just whether you trust him to be a 4th mid or first of your bench as a 5th

Hull (A)
Swansea (H)
West Ham (A)
Bournemouth (H)
Watford (A)
Burnley (H)

LUKAKU

The Everton striker showed how lethal he can be when he made an absolute mug of Clichy with his goal against Man City.  The fixtures are a little mixed but in this form it’s almost irrelevant. This is no fluke.  His output is totally supported by the underlying stats.

Burnley (A)
West Ham (H)
Chelsea (A)
Swansea (H)
Southampton (A)
Man Utd (H)

COSTA

Another game another return for the Chelsea striker.  He showed great movement in the box at a set piece to evade Leicester CB Wes Morgan.  Incredibly 7 returning games in his first 8.  Again the underlying stats back up his returns. Fixtures are no walk in the park though.  This and the fact that he’s on 4 yellow cards and a 1 match suspension if he gets 1 more before the new year are the negatives

Man Utd (H)
Southampton (A)
Everton (H)
Middlesbrough (A)
Spurs (H)
Man City (A)

AUSTIN

2 goals against his former club Burnley for the Southampton striker.  The 2nd from the penalty spot showed that tantrums do really work as he obviously won the battle over Tadic after the Europa League spat for penalty duties.   By the way I just couldn’t watch that penalty after the Aguero miss fiasco.  The main negative now is fixtures and although City and even Chelsea can be unreliable in defence I’m not sure now would be the time I would buy

Man City (A)
Chelsea (H)
Hull (A)
Liverpool (H)
Everton (H)
Crystal Palace (A)

THE SINKING SHIPS

These are the 5 most transferred out players so far in the gameweek

IBRAHIMOVIC

A little hard to criticise the Man Utd striker after his 3rd blank after all he was playing in a Utd side who’s primary objective was not to lose against Liverpool.  He did for the 2nd week miss a gilt edge big chance though and at this price you blank in 3 consecutive games at your own peril.  There’s still a case for saying he’s been very unlucky given his underlying stats but Chelsea is another good exit point.

Chelsea (A)
Burnley (H)
Swansea (A)
Arsenal (H)
West Ham (H)
Everton (A)

ANTONIO

3 consecutive blanks and now back in his very unrightful place of Right Wing Back.  Hard to right a better script for transfers out.  Despite the fact that he’s totally unsuited to the position West Ham getting a clean sheet against Palace can’t have helped him move from the position.  There could be better exit points though than home to Sunderland

 Sunderland (H)
Everton (A)
Stoke (H)
Spurs (A)
Man Utd (A)
Arsenal (H)

CAPOUE

The Watford midfielder after a stunning start has blanked in his last 3 and it’s no surprise as he really has absolutely no underlying stats to back up his sensational early form.

Swansea (A)
Hull (H)
Liverpool (A)
Leicester (H)
Stoke (H)
West Brom (A)

STERLING

The Man City winger may not win many popularity contests but these sales look a little harsh.  True his form hasn’t really been built up on a solid underlying stats base but you can’t really complain too hard with 5 returning games in his first 8 and 22 points in his last 4 games.  However in the fast moving world of the FPL midfield and new shiny options everywhere 2 blanks will definitely cause panic and that’s what’s happened in his last 2 games

 Southampton (H)
West Brom (A)
Middlesbrough (H)
Crystal Palace (A)
Burnley (A)
Chelsea (H)

NEGREDO

The Middlesboro striker has been in the Sinking Ship category so long that he really must be down there with the lanternfish at the deepest parts of the ocean by now.  6 consecutive blanks and losing your place in GW7 before returning to blank in GW8 just doesn’t inspire confidence as does neither the complete lack of underlying stats.  Arsenal next away is really not helping anyone thinking of holding

Arsenal (A)
Bournemouth (H)
Man City (A)
Chelsea (H)
Leicester (A)
Hull (H)
