Here’s a brief review of GW11’s Saturdays games.  We look at the lineup surprises, the form players in the game and the players on the FPL radar.  Also we’ll give you the next 6 fixtures to help you decide if you want to make an early transfer.  Remember it’s European week though so additional risk for any early transfers

Arsenal 1 Man Utd 2

  • Arteta returns for Arsenal.  Welbeck fit.  Giroud on bench.
  • Man Utd play a 3 man defemce
  • 3 injuries to Shaw, Wilshere and Szczesny result in early substitutions
  • Very open game.  Arsenal dominated but De Gea in fantastic form (but no bonus obviously).  United relied on counter attack
  • Utd score through bizzare own goal and then a counter attack
  • Welbeck had a number of chances but it was the age old inability to finish that haunted him
  • Wilshere had 2 great chances which he failed to finish.
  • Sanchez lively but unable to get good clear cut chances.  Did create a number of chances for others.
  • Rooney shows how effective he is further forward
  • Di Maria misses a one on one but consistently played very forward and looked deadly on the break

  • Kompany starts.  Jovetic starts up front with Aguero
  • Dyer starts again for Swansea.
  • City dominated the game.
  • Aguero had a number of chances and created good chances.  Was unlucky.
  • Jovetic also had a number of chances
  • Quiet game from Siggy

  • £4.2m Cameron continues in the Stoke team
  • £4.4m Barnes starts again for Burnley
  • 2 tap ins from Ings after crosses from Kightly (only 1 an assist)
  • After 2 early Burnley goals the remainder of the game was a Stoke siege
  • Crouch had the most chances. Bojan created the most chances for others
  • Quiet game from Moses

Everton 2 West Ham 1

  • No Baines no Barry.  Barkley and Lukaku start for Everton
  • No Sakho, No Downing, No Valencia for West Ham.  Carroll starts
  • Lucky off side deflection for Lukaku’s goal.  Deflection also helped Zarates goal.
  • Osmans winner though was from exceptional movement from Osman
  • Very open game with neither side defended well.
  • Carroll easily the dominant attacking force in the game.
  • Lukaku had a reasonable game

Chelsea 2 WBA 0

  • No surprises in the Chelsea lineup.  Willian the 3rd midfielder
  • WBA also predictable side
  • Chelsea dominated the game helped by a WBA sending off.
  • The Chelsea defence finally got the clean sheet they deserved.
  • The 3 key attacking players in Costa, Hazard and Oscar were all fantastic with a number of chances
  • Fabregas was the king of creating chances again

  • Cheapie Perez starts up front for Newcastle
  • Zamora and Austin again up front for QPR
  • A number of chances for each side
  • Ameobi, Austin and Perez had the most chances

  • Fletcher probably had the best goal scoring chances though
  • Ulloa had a better game that his invisible performances prior to this game
  • £4.4m cheapie mid James looks a good benchwarming option
