Some player comments
Antonio, Martial and Richarlison
These players were the main ones reclassified as forwards from midfielders. Their point scoring has been adjusted accordingly.
New players to the Premier League
The promoted teams
Fulham Mitrovic £6.0m – 26 goals and 2 assists at a goal or assist every 128 minutes. That’s ok. His 18/19 season for Fulham resulted in a pretty ordinary PPM of 3.6. His fixture ease ranking is 7.
Leeds Bamford £5.5m – 16 goals and 4 assist for a goal or assist every 172 minutes which is poor. 2 pretty unspectacular season s before in the PL with limited minutes played. Fixture ease ranking of 15
Others
Chelsea Timo Werner £9.5m – 28 goals and 8 assists for Leipzig at a goal or assist every 78 minutes which is unreally good. His xG and xA were 0.75/0.31 which is fantastic. A good possibility of pen duties. Fixture ease ranking of 12.
Danny Ings
His underlying stats are pretty ordinary. Massive over performance of them last season
Che Adams
Good stats and played last few games just held back by average minutes over the season. Still not a guarantee to start.
Some who missed out for gametime risk
Jesus, Abraham, Giroud, Iheanacho, Lacazette and Haller. Ashley Barnes missed out due to injury risk.
Methodology
I’ve ordered the players by their underlying stats ranking when I convert their xG and xA over the season into FPL points for goals and assists. That figure is adjusted for the average minutes played over the last season. Players with current penalty responsibility get that included in their stats. Those currently without eg Rashford don’t
Stats definitions
Form s/10/5. These are the form rankings for season, for the last 10 gameweeks and the last 5 game weeks. They are the average minutes adjusted rankings once the xG and xA are converted into FPL points. The lower the number the better the ranking.

PPM – the fantasy premier league sites points per match.
