The bandwagons

Vardy

It’s hard to believe anyone doesn’t own the £7.2m Leicester forward.  His winner against Crystal Palace at the weekend makes it 10 goals and 1 assist so far in the season.  Thats an excellent FPL point every 12.7 minutes and a phenomenal consistency return rate (the % of games that a goal or assist is acheived) of 90%.  He’s also got excellent underlying shooting and creating chances stats so this season is no fluke.  Fixtures get a little mixed though

West Brom (A)
Watford (H)
Newcastle (A)
Man Utd (H)
Swansea (A)
Chelsea (H)

Kane

A hat trick is always going to get you transfer attention and that is the case for the £9.2m Spurs forward.  That finally broke a poor start of 1 goal in his first 9 games.  Consistency wise and returns wise it doesn’t look that good.  However his underlying shooting  and creating chances stats have been good especially compared to last season so it’s potentially not a one off.  The fixtures are a little mixed.  Has pens which is a bonus

Aston Villa (H)
Arsenal (A)
West Ham (H)
Chelsea (H)
West Brom (A)
Newcastle (H)

Payet

The £8.3m West Ham and former Marseille attacking midfielder is the attacking fulcrum of the West Ham side.  Another assist in GW10 takes him to 5 goals and 4 assists for the season and an FPL point every 12.6 minutes and a quite staggering consistency rate of 80%.  He’s also the top point scoring midfielder and only Mahrez has more bonus points.  Great set piece responsibility as well.  Only negative is the fixtures are a little mixed although tough fixtures seem to mean nothing to West Ham

Watford (A)
Everton (H)
Spurs (A)
West Brom (H)
Man Utd (A)
Stoke (H)

Ozil

A pin point cross for Giroud while Tim Howard stood and watched saw another assist for Ozil.  That takes him to 1 goal and 7 assists for the season to date giving him an FPL point every 13.9 mins and a consistency rate of 60%.  Current form though is the standout and it’s a goal and 5 assists in the last 4.  He also has the best creating chances stats of any midfielder and occupies that CAM position which gives him alot of scope to return.  Only negative is the lack of shooting stats making him a little assist focused only.  Also the fixtures have a couple of tricky ones

Swansea (A)
Spurs (H)
West Brom (A)
Norwich (A)
Sunderland (H)
Aston Villa (A)

Bellerin

The £5.9m Arsenal RB seems to have the RB spot nailed despite competition from Debuchy and Chambers.  He’s shown his attacking form with 2 goals and 1 assist so far this season.  The Arsenal defence looks solid too with 5 clean sheets in the first 10 games.  They also have some of the best underlying defensive stats.  Only the Manchester clubs and WBA have more clean sheets and no team has conceded less than their 8 goals.  All the starting Arsenal defenders are a similar price so he doesn’t lose out there.  Quite good fixtures from a defensive perspective

Swansea (A)
Spurs (H)
West Brom (A)
Norwich (A)
Sunderland (H)
Aston Villa (A)

The sinking ships

Gomis

If you dont return a goal or assist in 6 matches then you’re going to be sold.  Thats the case for the £7.0m Swansea forward.  His underlying stats are ok but it’s hard to hold on with those returns.  Fixtures are a mixture of tough and good.  A game against Arsenal though is always a good exit point

Arsenal (H)
Norwich (A)
Bournemouth (H)
Liverpool (A)
Leicester (H)
Man City (A)

Jagielka

The £5.4m Everton CB is injured and out for around 2 months.  A definite sell at that price and time.  Unfortunately it’s at a time when Everton have good fixtures coming up and a straight replacement will probably see Funes Mori take his place who ironically is even more expensive at £5.5m

Sunderland (H)
West Ham (A)
Aston Villa (H)
Bournemouth (A)
Crystal Palace (H)
Norwich (A)

Martial

No returns in his last 3 games, shunted out wide rather than down the middle and with no underlying shooting or creating chances stats to give you hope the £8.3m Man Utd forward is a hard player to hold given those facts.  Fixtures aren’t too bad though if you’re planning on keeping the faith

Crystal Palace (A)
West Brom (H)
Watford (A)
Leicester (A)
West Ham (H)
Bournemouth (A)

Hazard

It’s hard to believe that last years FPL player of the season has come to this.  The £11.1m Chelsea midfielder now has 1 goal and 3 assists in his first 10 games although at least he returned to the side in GW10.  His minutes per FPL point is 23.4 compared to last season of 14.5 minutes which shows how drastic the change has been.  Unlike last year though his underlying shooting stats have disappeared which doesn’t give great hope for a return to form.  Neither does Chelsea’s form which also is terrible.  The fixtures though are ok so if there is some sort of corner to be turned then it could be coming up although it’s possibly after the Liverpool game.  Has pens as well.

Liverpool (H)
Stoke (A)
Norwich (H)
Spurs (A)
Bournemouth (H)
Leicester (A)

Aguero

The £13.1m Man City forward surprisingly still has a month or so to go before returning so is a natural sale given the price.  £8.3m Man City forward Bony is the replacement.

Norwich (H)
Aston Villa (A)
Liverpool (H)
Southampton (H)
Stoke (A)
Swansea (H)
