THE TRANSFERS
So with price fluctuation being quite volatile I made early transfers this week. I won’t bore you with it all again. Walcott went for Sanchez with Williams being sacrificed to obtain the funds by purchasing Ake. If I had thought that Charlie Austin would play virtually his first Europa League game and dislocate his shoulder I might have got Anichebe in to fund it but it is what it is now. TEAM SELECTION
It’s quite unbelievable to think that you take an 8 point hit and you’re still worrying whether you’ll put a full team out. Of the injury doubts Satnislas and Austin seem certain to be out. Costa seems to be ok. Ake I don’t think will play on the basis that regular LB Daniels is now fit. In that case the team selection is pretty irrelevant as 2 of the bench will pretty definitely play anyway and Fletcher was always going to be last off. Pickford over Foster was also a no brainer
THE BOOKIES VIEW
Here’s the anytime goalscorer odds and the clean sheet odds for what I expect to be the playing staff
The lowest for a while so not a positive outlook. The positive if there is one is that there’s 3 players under £2.00
THE CAPTAIN CHOICE
With Sanchez being such a heavy favourite it’s hard to go against him. I do worry that after playing midweek and a game on Tuesday that he could be rested but not enough to go against such a strong favourite. Combine that with his ability to score big and you’ve got a nasty situation if it all goes wrong.
