As I said above there’s a table where I’ve ranked the players but there’s a load of stats to help you make your own decision.  There’s also a key below the table to explain the stats and then some narrative on the player plus the next 6 fixtures.

Hazard

3 goals in the last 5 games.  All 3 at home and has yet to score away although has got a couple of assists.  Brilliant underlying shooting and creating chances stats and okish fixtures although 4/6 are away games which is unhelpful.  The 2 home games are very good ones if it’s any consolation.  Has pens.

Newcastle (A)
Hull (H)
Stoke (A)
West Ham (H)
Southampton (A)
Spurs (A)

Sanchez

Another all energy performance in getting the winner against Southampton which broke a pair of blanks preceeding the game. Fantastic underlying shooting and creating chances stats.  Could be a rotation risk with Wenger saying he’s running in the red zone as far as fitness is concerned.  Fixtures mixed

Stoke (A)
Newcastle (H)
Liverpool (A)
QPR (H)
West Ham (A)
Southampton (A)

Siggy

1 goal and 2 assists in the last 7 after a blank against QPR isn’t ideal but still good fixtures to come.  No significant underlying stats but relies on set pieces and his CAM position plus understanding with Bony to get returns.

West Ham (A)
Spurs (H)
Hull (A)
Aston Villa (H)
Liverpool (A)
QPR (A)

Downing

An assist was a welcome addition after 4 blanks were sandwiched around a 13 point haul at Stoke.  Despite a CAM position is only an assist based player and no real shooting stats which isn’t ideal unless Sakho, Valencia and Carroll put away his chances created.  Good fixtures though especially 3 home games

Swansea (H)
Sunderland (A)
Leicester (H)
Chelsea (A)
Arsenal (H)
West Brom (H)

Eriksen

With Chadli seemingly out of favour Eriksen suddenly becomes the focus of the Spurs midfield which has some good fixtures ahead.  2 goals and assist in his last 3 including the blank at Chelsea in GW14.  No real underlying stats but has set piece representation and does get forward.  Starting to return after a poor start.

Crystal Palace (H)
Swansea (A)
Burnley (H)
Leicester (A)
Man Utd (H)
Chelsea (H)

Oscar

An assist in the thrashing of Spurs makes it 2 assists in the last 3 which is a tad disappointing for 3 good fixtures.  Okish shooting stats and a CAM position getting good gametime.  Mixed fixtures

Newcastle (A)
Hull (H)
Stoke (A)
West Ham (H)
Southampton (A)
Spurs (A)

Fabregas

Strange that such a consistent returner blanked in the 3-0 win against Spurs.  Perhaps it was the absence of Costa which did it?  Creates chances but doesn’t have any shooting stats and only 1 goal this season.

Newcastle (A)
Hull (H)
Stoke (A)
West Ham (H)
Southampton (A)
Spurs (A)

YYT

Incredibly blanked in the 4-1 win at Sunderland which was surprising after returning in 3 consecutive games with 2 goals and an assist before that.  Shooting stats have improved.  Will be interesting to see what the return of Silva does to his positioning.  Excellent fixtures to come though

Everton (H)
Leicester (A)
Crystal Palace (H)
West Brom (A)
Burnley (H)
Sunderland (H)

Sterling

An assist against Leicester has sort of stopped the rot of 2 blanks.  However it’s a stutteriung team with precious little strikers to put the ball in the net from what must be an unwelcome wide position.  Good fixtures (although only after Utd and Arsenal)  are the only thing keeping him going

Sunderland (H)
Man Utd (A)
Arsenal (H)
Burnley (A)
Swansea (H)
Leicester (H)

Fer

The QPR mid is a cheap option if you want to rotate 2 midfiElders as he has 4 very good home games.  Only 1 goal and 3 assists in 14 games but he is only £5.5m and this is really about fixtures.  No realy underlying stats but deoes show the ability to get into the box.

Burnley (H)
Everton (A)
West Brom (H)
Arsenal (A)
Crystal Palace (H)
Swansea (H)
