fantasy premier league GW2 “ones to watch”

Here’s the GW2 fantasy premier league “ones to watch”

I’ve also put the removals  in strike through and new wording since GW1 in italics to make it easier to follow.  Below each position if applicable is a “bubbling under”  category for monitoring certain players before they are added to the “ones to watch” list.  Remember these are fantasy premier league players in would have in my team.

Hart – £7.0m quality

De Gea – £6.0m quality value

Cech – £6.5m

All £4.5m and budget

Hibbert  £5.5m – fixtures and value

Hangeland £5.0m – value fixtures sleeping giant

Stevens – Villa

Clyne – Saints attack

Fonte – saints

Nelsen – QPR –

Demel – west ham

Mata/Hazard – £9.5m –  Quality. form.

performances now mean Mata removed.  Think twice about removing him this week if you don’t need too due to the home fixture to Newcastle

Bale / VDV – £9.5m/£9.0m – Quality. fixtures. VDV not selected last week.

Young /Kagawa – £8.5m – Quality.  GW2 fixtures. Kagawa now less of a game time risk after performance and selection

Lampard – £9.0m  –  Never write him off, even in 4-2-3-1?  11 goals last year. pens

Guthrie – Reading – best choice

Britton – Swansea

Whitehead  – stoke

Cattermole – sunderland YC risk

Diakite – QPR YC risk

Schneiderlin – Saints

Bubbling under

Fellaini – just want to see whether  he plays behind Jelavic this week before adding

Nasri – want to see if he plays in the away game against liverpool as he may only play at home/easier games

Carzola – a bit more monitoring required before fixtures improve

Sigurdsson – how much of a VDV rotation risk will he be

Aguero/ Tevez £11.5m/£9.0m – quality. form. Tevez with  Aguero injury

Rooney £12.0m – quality.  pens

RVP – £13.0m – QUALITY – still a game time risk though

Torres – £10m –   only.  fixtures

Defoe – £7.5m – fixtures value (only if Adebayor doesnt sign)

Adebayor -£9.5m  fixtures

Jelavic – £8.5m – fixtures quality

Bent – £8.5m fixtures sleeping giant

Petric – £6.0m  pre-season.  form

Graham – £6.0m pre-season fixtures

Cisse QPR – £6.5m quality.

I’m not putting a budget section for strikers.  I just think the position is too important and theres too much quality to put a filler in.

Bubbling under

Suarez – if he could shoot he would be lethal.  needs more monitoring

quality – an elite player for his position

value – a player at a value that is less than the returns I expect

fixtures – a player facing good fixtures over the next 6 games

budget – filler at the minimum price the position allows. Should play

sleeping giant – a player with past form who may have had a quiet season last year but has the potential for far greater returns than his value

YC – card magnet

DGW – has 2 games in the specified game week

pre-season – has pre-season form

pens – should take penalties

short term – will only play for a few games

Form – current form

hope that stimulates some thought for your fantasy premier league team.  Heres the link to the latest fantasy premier league fixtures article if you want to look at that again

  1. Nice update. I’m keeping an eye on Ben Arfa from GW3, he took the pen last week against Spurs and looks pretty good value at 7.5m, as long as Newcastle keep up their good form.

I was also impressed with Kacaniklic, with Dempsey probably on his way and only 4.5m, could be a bargain.

Wish they gave a free wildcard for GW2…..

  2. You might want to mention players like Mclean, Cuellar, Holt for ‘GW2’ because they’re difinitely likely to score points.

  3. + Adam Johnson, who just moved to Sunderland. VDV will play I think, Spurs are weak in midfield, and Im pretty sure AVB will improve it.
