Introduction
This is part 2 of the FPL managers who contribute to the FFGeek site with good histories who show their teams each week. This will give people a feel for what other managers are doing. It’s a fairly informal thing with no obligation on anyone and these teams may change at anytime before the deadline without further notice. It won’t cover transfers in real time either. It’s just to give an idea of the trends for the week no more. The teams are shown as their “final-ish” teams so they could change. Where they have twitter accounts I have shown this and they may update them there or on our Slack Channel which is part of our subscription Patreon site but this is not guaranteed

Rick Porter
Rick’s last 4 seasons overall ranks were 29k, 1k, 30k and 2k.
GW19 points: 105 -8 on triple captain (FPL average 74) Total points: 1,234, Overall Rank: 18k, red arrow: 3k Team Value: £104.8m

GW19 review
105 points (-8) was more than 20 above the gameweek average and I’ve still seen a red arrow. Not a huge one, but red nevertheless. The City defender hauls meant it was always going to be an uphill struggle despite my own defenders performing well.
Throwing my Triple Captain chip on De Bruyne didn’t deliver on the potential but I’m not overly bothered. Sure, it was underwhelming, but I’ve had far worse TC picks in the past and have ended up doing okay. With BB out of the question after the GW19 fixture Hokey Cokey, I was always going to use TC for this double and, of the realistic options, Bruno would have delivered the same and Salah significantly lower so I can shrug it off to some extent.
GW20
Looking towards GW20, the De Bruyne injury combined with Walker-Peters probably being out and my minute-less third bencher means my subs are non-existent pre transfer. During these troubled times that needs sorting urgently. I want at least 2 players waiting on the sidelines, so any ideas of simply swapping De Bruyne for Sterling are gone. I may as well take the opportunity to spread some cash around and secure myself one of those aforementioned City defenders.
Transfer
Like many, I hate taking a -4 for a defender but swapping Walker-Peters to Cancelo or Dias stands a reasonable chance of being worth it. Probably Cancelo as I feel he has to haul soon. To free up the cash De Bruyne drops to Gundogan. He’s as nailed as you get at City and should be on pens. At just 5.5m I won’t feel too bad if he does get the odd benching.
This leaves me with a healthy 5.1m in the bank to either get someone decent for Davis next week or upgrade Bamford or Antonio to Kane.
Bench
Even though they have decent fixtures, Coufal and Lowton will drop to the bench along with Davis.
Captain
Bruno Fernandes is the obvious choice. Salah vice.
Transfer summary: De Bruyne to Gundogan. Likely Walker Peters to Cancelo
Here’s the team showing potential transfers
Scott Taylor
Scott finished with an overall rank of 15k last season, 1k 18/19 and 12k in 17/18
GW19 points: 116 – 8 (FPL average 74) Total points: 1,215, Overall Rank: 41k, green arrow: 18k Team Value: £105.4m

My transfer this week will be De Bruyne out. My issue is that I am undecided on who to bring in. The players I’m considering are Sterling, Gundogan, Rashford (subject to injury news), Barnes, Maddison and Son. Anyone apart from Sterling means I’d have the money to get a second City defender next week. At the moment I’m leaning towards Gundogan, Barnes or Son. Ultimately, it is probably going to be a 5 minutes before deadline gut decision!
Armband is on Fernandes, vice is Bamford.
Transfer summary: De Bruyne out. Either Gundogan, Barnes or Son in
Here’s the team prior to any transfers being made
Kev in Canada
Kev finished 48k last season 6k in 18/19 and 195k in 17/18
GW19 points: 102 -4 on triple captain (FPL average 74) Total points: 1,164, Overall Rank: 220k, green arrow: 29k Team Value: £103.4m

Triple captain on Salah failed. De Bruyne and Vardy injured. Moved early on Wood to Antonio. Need a -8 to sort this out.
It would be fair of you to say it was stupid to move Wood to Antonio early as it is now a -4 penalty for my actions. However Wood has been so pathetic in FPL I would take a -20 to get him out of my team right now. Antonio has come into some form now so I am actually happy I did it even with the hits needed.
My transfer thoughts are that I want Son+Kane back. They are elite. Fixtures are mixed and the entry point is poor but I have 2.2M not being used. One thought is to just bring Son in for a -4 this week and do Kane next week for free to save 4 points.
The other players I have considered are Sterling, Cavani, DCL, Grealish and Ings. None of them are on Son/Kane level right now so I’m going to keep it simple.
Good luck.
Captain Bruno.
Vice Cancelo.
transfer summary: Wood out to Antonio in completed. De Bruyne out to Son in likely. Vardy out to Kane in possible
Here’s the team with the Antonio transfer complete and showing how it would look with Kane and Son bought in
Alex Ball
Alex’s last 6 seasons overall rank were 312k, 523k, 17k, 10k, 28k and 3k
GW19 points: 112 -4 on bench boost (FPL average 74) Total points: 1,202, Overall Rank: 68k, green arrow: 33k Team Value: £102.8m

The green arrows continue! Although it was a disappointing bench boost of 7 points! Never mind, 112 (-4) saw a green arrow up to a season high 68K. The defence definitely saved the GW. I’m slightly frustrated as the two other moves I was seriously considering (Raphinia to Gundogan or Wood to Antonio) would have worked out well.
On to this week- the moves I had planned was Robbo/Wood to Cancello/Antonio but the De Bruyne injury has thrown a spanner in the works. I may still make the moves and add De Bruyne to Gundogan in for a -8. This will set me up well with City players for their kind fixtures and allow for the possibility of holding the WC beyond 25 depending on team that will double. It will also leave cash for Raphinia to Son next week so I can captain a Spurs player.
Good luck everyone.
transfer summary: transfers in the end were De Bruyne out to Gundogan in, Wood out to Antonio in and Robertson out to Cancelo in
