Here’s our regular feature where we analyse the teams of 10 top FPL managers who in the last 3 seasons none have finished outside the top 10k. The top 10 Managers have played 30 times in the last 3 years and none have finished outside the top 10k in that time. Considering how variable the last 3 years have been this is remarkable consistency and shows an ability to adapt strategy in different seasons. It also gives you a view other than my own on strategy and player selection. A mixed week with 6 of the 10 having green arrows.

The stats of the top 10 managers are incredible again this season.
1. The overall average finishing position of the top 10 managers is 2,943
2. The top 10 FPL managers have not been out of the top 10k in the last 3 years (ie 30 times playing)
3. 9 of the 10 have finished in the top 1,000
GAMEWEEK SUMMARY
A mixed week for the top 10 FPL managers. 6 of the 10 had green arrows.
The average score of the managers in GW20 was 60 compared to the average of 49. Thats 11 points and 22% above the average score. The high score of the 10 was 87. The low score was 43. A very high spread of 44 for the gameweek.
The average overall rank of the top 10 FPL managers stayed steady at 300k compared to the last gameweek of 299k. A worsening of rank of 1k. The best rank is 100 and the lowest 954k. A couple of scores are distorting the average. If you calculated the median rank then that is improved to 146k compared to 173k last gameweek. An improvement of rank of 27k. At the moment 3 have overall ranks inside 100k. 1 is inside the top 10k.
The average value is steady at £104.8m slightly down from £104.9m last gameweek
If you’re interested my score was a poor one of 46. Only 1 of the managers had a worse gameweek score. My overall rank is now 432k compared to 348k last gameweek. A worsening of rank of 84k. I’m still only ahead of 2 of the top 10 managers. My team value is low though in comparison at £102.1m down slightly from £102.4m last gameweek. My total score is 1025 points.

FOCUS ON 1 MANAGERS TEAM
Again we focus on the managers team who last season finished the highest of my then top 10 FPL managers ending up in 1,400th position. This manager is the closest thing to a fantasy football celebrity there is due to his consistent results so we’ll keep an eye on him. At present he is in 108k overall rank an improvement in rank from the last gameweek of 27k. His total points are 1077 after a good score of this gameweek.. Just to give you a bit of context his last 3 years overall rankings have been 1,450, 277 and 90.
He has 2 transfers this week so not sure what he’ll be doing
THE HIGHEST SCORING AND LOWEST SCORING MANAGERS IN GW20
Highest scorer
This guy is totally on fire. An 87 takes him to just outside the top 100. He is an interesting case. He’s had Alli for sometime and Baines recently was obviously an inspirational pick
Lowest scorer
a low score of 43 taking him to around 322k
This is one case where the teams are quite different.
There were 43 points difference between the 2 teams. 16 of those were in defence. 3 players made a difference of 28 points incredibly. 14 was Alli over Lallana, 5 Siggy over Can and 9 Lukaku over Costa.
Again defence makes a difference and a few players in the attacking team.
