LAST WEEK
A week bang on average saved by the Robot of all people. 228k overall a red arrow of 4k. £102.1 team value.
TRANSFERS THIS WEEK
No transfers in what I think could be one the most interesting gameweeks of the season. Well for me at least as the potential for backward rank movement is quite scary
My main dilemma was whether to bring in Lukaku for Aguero after Aguero was on the bench against West Ham. However the idea of transferring out an Aguero with something to prove against the worst defence in the league is something that I just can’t do. He may sit on the bench yeah but I just can’t take the thought of him starting and running wild after I transfer him out. I did think about Kane as well for Aguero for the captain protection and to be honest I wont be able to watch the game, way too stressful, but this season covering every captain is just impossible. I’ve got away with it twice this season so the law of averages must be closing in on me.
Those were the only dilemmas everything else can wait to next week. I will try and only use 1 next week so I can have 2 after the FA Cup games in between GW25 and GW26 to give me maximum flexibility for GW28
TEAM SELECTION
1 selection dilemma or 2 depending on how you look at it. Thats whether to start with Holebas or Crouch/Stanislas
Crouch has surprised me so many times this season that I can’t bench him for emotional reasons. Just wouldn’t be fair. Stanilas away to Everton is a tricky fixture. Holebas has a terrible team in Burnley away and he has set pieces so he’s a good bet for an attacking and defensive return. The main question with him is whether he will start given he was suspended for their best performance of the season last week against Arsenal. However Britos who took his place has some injury issues and isn’t really a wingback so it looks a good possibility Holebas will start.
So in the end Holebas started for a 4-3-3. Stanislas on the bench
BOOKIES VIEW
So couldn’t be better. It’s just what happens to overall rank if Kane and Lukaku go mad who are quite big captain picks
CAPTAIN PICKS
I would love to go all in and captain Aguero. I’m just too conservative for that. Even keeping him seeems an emotional rather than rational decision. At the moment I’ve gone for Alli over Ibrahimovic but it’s not been an easy one that’s for sure. Captain article may help things
