Introduction
This is part 2 of the FPL managers who contribute to the FFGeek site with good histories who show their teams each week. This will give people a feel for what other managers are doing. It’s a fairly informal thing with no obligation on anyone and these teams may change at anytime before the deadline without further notice. It won’t cover transfers in real time either. It’s just to give an idea of the trends for the week no more. The teams are shown as their “final-ish” teams so they could change. Where they have twitter accounts I have shown this and they may update them there or on our Slack Channel which is part of our subscription Patreon site but this is not guaranteed

Kris O

I’m happy with a tiny red arrow in GW25 given my -8 points deduction. My Dallas and Raphina transfers paid off, my Kane for Antonio didn’t but two out of three isn’t bad!
My plan for GW26 is simply to switch in Son for Grealish, this might change if clear Grealish will be back but that seems highly unlikely. On current prices this will leave me £1.5m itb so I will wait until all the news on Friday or even Saturday morning before I transfer.
As planned I’ve activated my triple captain and sticking with Kane despite Spurs‘ recent troubles. Vice is on Bruno.
I have 11 doublers (two keepers). I’ve picked Martinez over Areola, with my final outfield spot between my Leeds three and Coufal. Torn between Raphina and Bamford.

GW25 review
I think that was best described as a pretty chaotic gameweek, both in the lead-up and then through the games themselves. I’d been hovering over the Wildcard button all week waiting for the GW26 double gameweek fixture announcements to be officially made. There were hints dropped by Guardiola, Hodgson and Mourinho through the week but 4pm on Friday afternoon came along and still no official confirmation of the fixtures. So after some final deliberation, I threw caution to the wind and hit the Wildcard button at 430pm, 2 hours before the deadline (that’s early for a Wildcard; right Geek?!) I’d made several plans through the week and in the end went for what was closest to what the FPL fixture experts projected and hoped for the best.
630pm came, went and at 631pm the double gameweek fixtures were announced! Part of me thinks this was some fantastic timing/trolling by The Premier League and FPL Towers, but the more rational part of me actually applauds them for this. I think announcing this after the deadline was a fair call with respect to the global community of FPL, much in the way that moving the deadlines back 30 minutes this season also levelled the playing field in this respect.
Of course, the build-up this week had also been fraught with injury debate. The ‘will he, won’t he’ on Gundogan, Antonio’s fitness and then the news that leaked out on Twitter on Friday afternoon regarding Jack Grealish. A word for Dean Smith – perhaps don’t blame your players for changing their FPL teams and look at the training photos the club are releasing on their official website. They do give some clues you know!
Back to FPL anyhow and ultimately the team I settled on seems to have come out quite well initially. I got to punt at GW25 a bit and seem to be fairly well set for GW26. In the end I finished on 81 points and I’ve undone the red arrows from GW22 & 23. It could have been better had I held on to Dallas, but the rank damage his 15-pointer caused on Tuesday night was mitigated somewhat by a nice surprise goal from my lowest ownership player the night before – thank you Joel Veltman! Elsewhere, Captain Bamford returned as did Raphinha (he should have had much more mind) and there were also tidy scores from Areola, Stones and Fernandes as well as a nice 13-point differential haul from Harvey Barnes.
So on we move and the biggest double gameweek of the season is up next – here’s my plan!
GW26 Team
1FT and £2.2m in the bank.
My plan is to use my Bench Boost chip this week. My initial strategy when I drew up my Wildcard team was to take a minus 4 this week and change out 2 single gameweek players for 2 double gameweekers, effectively cancelled the points hit by getting me 4 games from the 2 players instead of 2. The 2 players on the Transfer Out list for me were Ings and Raphinha. Now I’m not so sure!
I’m definitely set on selling Danny Ings. He was a big disappointment last gameweek, and his benching versus Leeds makes me worry that even with a double in GW27 that he will have his minutes managed to protect him from injury. My initial plan for this week had been to bring in Ollie Watkins, but I’m wary of Villa as an attacking force now with creator-in-chief Jack Grealish likely out for a few weeks. In terms of replacements, I’m not limited by funds but I think I’ll probably go for Calvert-Lewin. He’s got 2 nice fixtures in the double and might have a double in GW28 (dependant on a few factors.)
For the moment I think I’m going to hold off a second transfer and hang on to Raphinha, mainly due to his form in GW25 where he was absolutely superb across the 2 matches. This means I hang on to a GW29 player, but I also quite like his chances of a return in GW26 playing against a Villa defence that is missing Matty Cash at right-back. I’m not 100% set on this though and if I do make a change, I’ll probably swap him for Lookman of Fulham so I’m still holding a GW29 player in this spot. I guess it boils down to do I think Lookman minus 4 outscores Raphinha across the games.
So as for my team, it looks like it’ll be 12 doublers and 3 single gameweek players (Veltman, Bamford & Raphinha) on the Bench Boost. Only one decision to make then on selection and that’s Captain. I’ll check the polls on this one, but at present I’ve got it one Kane. Geek alluded to this in his early team article that he thinks that he will be the favourite this week and I’m inclined to agree. He does seem to have the standout fixtures though they might not be as easy as you think on paper. Burnley were pretty lucky to keep a clean sheet on Saturday, but I think will set up with a deep defensive block that Spurs may struggle to break down. And second opponents Fulham have tightened up significantly of late and I reckon Spurs might struggle to find space on the tight Craven Cottage pitch, the smallest in the Premier League.
That being said, I thought Spurs were superb in the last 30 minutes against West Ham and Kane certainly passed the eye test for me in that match despite not returning. He was taking plenty of shots in good positions and was linking play well – how he didn’t return was beyond me. Aside from Kane, I do also think that Fernandes and Calvert-Lewin are both great shouts as well though so I might change my mind if the polls suggest something different but I can see Kane be heavily Captained and indeed Triple Captained this week.

Tough GW25 with an average WC, only 76 points and no Dallas that gave me green arrow with no real movement (OR 50k). Trying to go big with Bench Boost in DGW26 , already with -4 (Calvert Lewin+Digne for Ings +Vestergaard), another hit will come with Pereira on Taylor!

If somehow the pressers say Jota is deemed fit AND Grealish is out, then I may include Raphinha to Jota by doing Maja over Watkins. A big if.
