fantasy premier League – the early GW28 bandwagons and sinking ships

Fantasy Premier League

Here’s my view of the fantasy premier league bandwagons and sinking ships for GW28 up coming.  If your’e not familiar these are the 5  most transferred in and the 5 most transferred out players so far in the gameweek.  Remember there are European games next week so all early transfers carry that extra injury risk.  Also remember that in GW28 Man Utd, Man City, Sunderland and WBA don’t play  so factor that in as well.  GW29 also has a multitude of postponements.  I will identify who has what blanks in the next 2 gameweeks.  A portion of those postponed games could end up in GW31 as a mass double gameweek although this has yet to be confirmed.

Fantasy Premier League Bandwagons

Nolan

5 goals and an assist in 5 games since coming back from suspension is excellent form.  A pretty streaky player who only had 1 goal and 3 assists in the first 15 game weeks.  Has come alive since that though as the above stats have shown.  Carroll back from suspension will only enhance that.

After today the GW29 picture will become alot clearer.  If Hull win the GW29 West Ham v Hull game will be postponed which makes him a pick that will result in once less player for that gameweek.  Given the GW28 fixture is away to Everton it would be a questionable transfer at this stage

Sturridge

9 goals and 4 assists in the 7 games since he’s been back from injury says it all.  No fixture in GW29 so this may question the wisdom of buying him now.  The GW28 fixture is away to Southampton which isn’t easy but fixture toughness seems irrelevant for Liverpool now.

Giroud

Ahh how fickle us fantasy premier league managers are.  It seems he has been the focus of the sinking ships part of this article many times.  3 goals and 2 assists in his last 5 games is pretty good form.  Looked refreshed in the demolition of Sunderland.  However he is for the patient.  This season he’s gone 8 games with 1 return although has been the only notbale dry spell.  Arsenal have no fixture in GW29 and the next 6 fixtures are pretty tough

Adebayor

Was unlucky not to return against Norwich on the weekend.  Before that it was 8 goals and 4 assists in 10 games which is good form.  Has the significant advantage of not having any blank weeks in GW28/29.  Great fixture next home to Cardiff

Livermore

A solid £4.6m cheapie who has a goal and an assist in the demolition of Cardiff on the counter in GW27.  Only the 3rd goal and 4th assist in 25 games though but that shows at least what a solid selection he is.  Becoming more of a box to box player rather than the CDM he once looked like.  Will know after today whether he has a fixture in GW29 as if they win the FA Cup replay tonight he wont

Fantasy Premier League Sinking Ships

Dzeko

Hard to have much sympathy for him after his astonishing miss against Stoke.  I was quite shocked he didn’t airshot the post in his tantrum afterwards.  With no games in GW28 and GW29 and the return of Aguero and fitness of Jovetic it’s a pretty understandable sell.  Thats even before you see he hasn’t returned in his last 3.  DGW31 comes with alot of rotation risk.

Negredo

Similar comments apply here to Dzeko.  No game in GW28 and GW29 and same rotation risk with Aguero back soon and Jovetic fit.  This dulls the DGW 31 prospects.  No returns in his last 4 fantasy premier league fixtures

Adam Johnson

Back to normal service with no returns in his last 2 after 6 goals and 2 assists prior to that.  Also the matter of no game in GW28 and GW29. Does have multiple DGWs coming up with an additional game postponed but difficult to see that as an incentive to hold on.  Will go down in price tonight if you’re wanting to sell

Similar sentiments to YYT (although only GW28 is a blank) although he has blanked in his last 2 games after 3 consecutive assists in his first 3 fantasy premier league fixtures.  No game in GW28  but DGW31
