FANTASY PREMIER LEAGUE GW28 WILDCARD TIPS – OUR IMAGINARY WILDCARD

So firstly I personally wouldn’t use the 2nd wildcard if you’ve got it. I think there’s likely to be a big DGW to come still unless it becomes open season on conflicting with the dates of the European games and then anything could happen.

The imaginary wildcard team fits within my £101.9m budget. Only having 4 games in GW28 makes the player choice very restricting.

You’ll see that I haven’t tried to fill all 11 spots for GW28 but have tried to balance out between GW28 and further ahead.  There’s only 8 players playing in GW28.

In this article there are no stats just some brief narrative on the selection below. There’s stats in the player ranking articles which can be found here using the links below

Comments

In goal Jakupovic is good value in the improving Hull defence and Pickford is also cheap with a potential DGW in the weeks ahead.

In defence for me Alonso is a player for the entire season in the best defence.  Davies is short term value player with Rose injured until “April”.  Spurs have some good fixtures coming up and Davies is great value as an LWB to take advantage of that.  Jones is also great value in the Man Utd defence but comes with a bad injury history and is in a rotation full CB position.  Brunt has set pieces and could even continue playing as an LAM.

In midfield Mane is the best Liverpool player at the moment.  Sigurdsson is in great form with set pieces and King is playing striker for Bournemouth.  Both players have penalty duties for their club.  I have chosen Pedro for budgetary reasons.  I would rather have Hazard but that’s just not financially feasible.  Pedro at the moment is giving Hazard a good run for his money in all departments anyway.  Sterling stays in my team due to his consistency.

Upfront Lukaku is an obvious choice for GW28.  Kane is in red hot form with some fantastic fixtures coming up.  I’ve gone for Carroll as the cheap striker. I could have doubled up with Llorente but wanted to spread the risk.
