THE VALUE RISK CLARIFICATIONS
Spurs
With Alderweireld and Vertonghen both injured and the full backs rotating any pick for the longer term looks tricky. Aurier is suspended from the UCL next week so he should in theory play this week as Trippier played v Rochdale but anything else is difficult to predict. Only GK Lloris seems a safe pick.
Man Utd
Jones, Smalling and Bailly all need to be fit to compete against one another to sort out who is the preffered CB partnership otherwise you’re looking at a very expensive Valencia or De Gea.
Man City
4 CBs and a manager who looks like he would play Bravo at LB before Danilo most of the time puts Walker as the safe pick.
Burnley
Mee looks the safest. Lowton may hold off Bardsley but it remains a risk.
Watford
The new coach seems more defensively minded but the number of players and injuries cloud the picture and make any choice a risk. I’ve put Holebas in as he seems to have held off Zeegelar. Gomes appears fit and should recover the GK position but that needs to be tested
Everton
Injuries and form cloud the selection here and apart from the GK Pickford it’s tricky to get someone in with longevity guaranteed. If you’ve got Kenny it’s a case of hoping that Coleman is out until GW31
PLAYER SUGGESTIONS FOR A GW29 TRANSFER IN
We’re looking for good defences with GW29 being a good entry point and good fixtures onward as an ideal. Only Liverpool of these have a fixture in GW31.
3 suggestions for me
Liverpool – Robertson at £4.8m should be safe
Spurs – difficult to say who but the GK Lloris should be safe if you’re willing to go for a premium GK.
Arsenal – a good run ahead. Mustafi despite his disastrous EFL final looks the best bet
