FANTASY PREMIER LEAGUE GW3 – THE ALTERNATE FFGEEK TEAMS
Here we look at 3 different ways of setting up your FPL team. I really enjoy this as everything is picked by formula so no procrastination required.
A very good recovery from the bookies team. A poor one from the underlying stats team and no progress from the bandwagons team.
THE BOOKIES TEAM
The bookies team finished with an OR of 6k last season
The bookies team was set up by picking the best anytime goal scoring odds for attacking players and clean sheet odds for defenders for the next game only with no reference toofuture fixtures.
2 transfers are made every 2 weeks unless there’s an injury or a gametime risk. The 2 transfers will seek to improve the overall odds for the 11 players forecast to play. The captain will be the player with the best ATGS odds.
The team will be predominantly 4-3-3 as it will seek to have 3 premium forward options as captains

Kane followed by Lukaku had the best anytime goalscoring odds at £1.67 and was the captain choice
1 Transfer only and 1 rolled over due to the international break before the next week heightening injury potential. With Ward Prowse losing his place last week and him playing the whole 90 minutes in the EFL cup while Davis was rested he looks to have lost his place. New midfield option in the Southampton team Lemina is expected to overcome an injury worry which was JWP’s best option for starting. The best odds option at the £5.5m price according to the bookies was new signing at Stoke Choupo Moting at £3.75
Other options with Anytime Goal Scoring Odds were
Puncheon £6.00, Brady £5.50, Albrighton £8.50, Fraser £7.50, Bakayoko £6.00, Allen £7.50, Gross £5.00, Atsu £4.00.
THE SHOTS IN THE BOX TEAM
Last season the underlying stat was shots on target. That team finished with a 77k OR. This season we’ve gone for shots in the box as the underlying stat of choice. The team was set up with the players with the best shots in the box stats from last season within a certain team structure. Defence has aimed to be set and forget.
Captain choice will be the player highest in the captain polls. Transfers will be 2 every 2 weeks except for injury replacing the lowest rank player for stats with the highest rank within a general team structure

Injured Walters out and Richarlison in. Benteke out and Gabbiadini in on the highest/ lowest stats principle
Captain Kane as the highest in the polls
THE BANDWAGONS TEAM
This is a new team this season. The team was set up with the highest ownership players at the start of the season again within a team structure. Except when there’s injuries, 2 transfers every 2 weeks replacing the most transferred out players with the most transferred in. Transfers will be done early in that week in order to maximise team value. The captain will be the highest player in the polls.
