Introduction

This is part 4 of the FPL managers who contribute to the FFGeek site with good histories who show their teams each week. This will give people a feel for what other managers are doing. It’s a fairly informal thing with no obligation on anyone and these teams may change at anytime before the deadline without further notice. It won’t cover transfers in real time either. It’s just to give an idea of the trends for the week no more.  The teams are shown as their “final-ish” teams so they could change.  Where they have twitter accounts I have shown this and they may update them there or on our Slack Channel which is part of our subscription Patreon site but this is not guaranteed

Andrew Pratt

Andrew finished with an overall rank of 313k last 8k in 18/19 and 1k in 17/18

GW31 Points:  30 (FPL average 41) Total points: 2,012, Overall Rank: 33k, red arrow:  18k Team Value: £105.9m

Gameweek 31

GW31 was my worst week of the season. Chelsea conceded despite being near-perfect defensively. The resting of de Bruyne and Gundogan wasn’t unexpected but still hurt. Son was my only player who returned. VAR continues to confound.

My decision to play my wildcard early (in GW28) to bring in Kane and de Bruyne looks to be the undoing of my season given that de Bruyne is effectively out for much of the rest of the season and it will now be difficult for me to prepare for the potential double gameweek on the horizon. Chelsea defence has also been very disappointing. I’m now exposed without Leicester attackers, Lingard and Salah / Jota. It’ll be hard to get back into the top 10k from here.

Gameweek 32

GW32 is the double for Spurs. I brought in Lloris last week to have triple Spurs for their double and had one free transfer for this week. My default move was to transfer out de Bruyne for Salah and fund it through Adams to Vydra, for a hit. I went instead for an 8 point hit:

  • Adams to Iheanacho (fomo on his great fixtures)
  • De Bruyne to Salah (Liverpool now out of Europe means he’s close to essential)
  • Cresswell to Coady (great fixtures)

For BGW33 I now have 11 players.

I’ll use the triple captain chip on Kane this week

Transfer summary: Iheanacho, Salah and Coady IN. Adams, De Bruyne and Cresswell OUT

Here’s the team with transfers made:

Avishek Majumdar

Avishek’s last 3 seasons are 13k, 45k and 64k

GW31 points:  68 on wildcard  (FPL average 41) Total points: 1,974, Overall Rank: 86k, green arrow 36k,  Team Value: £104.0m

Avishek has used his Free Hit Chip, Wildcard and Bench Boost Chip

GW 32 team

Most likely going to carry over the free transfer unless there are any last minute injury update.
Triple captain chip activated on Harry Kane.

Only dilemma is around the 3rd def spot. I can play one of Dias, Holding and Phillips and right now I have Holding in my eleven. I will keep an eye on the bookies odds to make the final decision

Cheers and good luck!

Transfer summary: Carrying over the free transfer

Here’s the team assuming no transfers are made;

GW31 for a dismal one for me.

I had planned to WC that week but in the end took a gamble and held my WC and got punished for it.

Only Veltman (6) and Bamford (4) in my team returned for me apart from Dallas (17) who stayed on my bench.

If I had wildcarded I would have doubled my weekly score. Ouch!

I waited the GW finished before deciding what to do. Unfortunately by Tuesday this cautious wait and see approach has cost 0.5m in price rises so I can’t afford all the players I wanted. Holding any longer would have been more price rises and I am not sure there would be any real advantage in doing so..

In hindsight it would have been so much better if I had stuck with the template.
All in all, it has been frustrating.

Anyway I have now activated my WC.

I have gone for the big boys in attack.

Mo, Bruno, Son, Lingard and Jota in midfield with Kane and Iheanacho up top..
Trent Dallas and Rudiger will be my mainstays at the back

The rest are cheap and cheerful who are nailed on.

Meslier and Forster are my goalies.

Veltman and Holding join my defence.

Davis will warm my bench

Good luck everyone

Harry

Here’s the current draft

Fantasy premier league GW32

Chris Tucker

Chris’s last 3 seasons overall rank were 41k, 17k and 1k

GW31 points: 32 (FPL average 41), Total points: 1,917, Overall Rank: 258k,  red arrow 71k,  Team Value: £104.2m

Chris has used his Free Hit Chip, Wildcard and Bench Boost

I’ll be bringing in Iheanacho and Son for a hit. Just deciding between Gundogan or Raphinha, and Bamford or Calvert-Lewin, as the players to make way.

I’ll be triple captaining Harry Kane, and will put the vice on Son once I have brought him in.

Good luck to you all.

Transfer summary: Iheanacho and Son IN. Either Gundogan or Raphinha, and Bamford or Calvert-Lewin OUT
