FANTASY PREMIER LEAGUE GW33 CAPTAIN CHOICE

FIXTURES

Here’s the fixtures for GW33:

BOOKIES WIN ODDS

The bookies see 3 team as favourites with the following win odds for £1 invested. It’s likely the fantasy premier league GW33 captain choice will come from this team

Chelsea £1.28 – Hazard, Morata. Willian

Spurs £1.33 – Kane, Alli, Eriksen or Son HM

Arsenal – £1.57 – Aubameyang

THE BOOKIES PLAYER ODDS

Here we look at one of the bookies anytime goal scoring odds up to £2.40. I’ve tried to only put players in who have some gametime security although that doesn’t apply for Man City. It’s the return for £1 invested. Odds are as of Friday evening and remember they assume the player starts and don’t count assist potential.

I haven’t included Salah btw or Firmino or Aguero

£1.67 – Kane and Aubameyang

£1.80– Morata

£1.85 – Hazard

£2.10 – Vardy and Willian

£2.20 – Sterling and Jesus

£2.25 – Murray

£2.30 – Alli

THE FPL ADVICE SITE POLLS.

Thanks to everybody who voted in the FFGeek poll.

It’s also worth noting here that the FFGeek poll asks who you are going to appoint as captain to reflect the reality of the spread of captain choices. Others ask who is the best captain. Others just say captain poll and leave the question up to you. I also show how many vote so you can see how representative it is which some other polls don’t

Firstly here’s the FFGeek poll:

I should have either started after the UCL game or restarted it as I wonder where the Salah votes will dissipate to?

Here’s the summary of the other main FPL advice site polls. It’s worth noting that site 1 is the site with the most traffic and it asks who is the best captain

 The case for Aubameyang

This week I won’t be doing a full analysis of the leading options.  What could have been a very close captain call has now changed due to uncertainty surrounding Salah and Kane starting.  I personally think there is sufficient doubt over Salah starting to make him a risky captain pick.

While I think the Kane position has less risk there certainly is still residual risk attached to him starting

For this reason alone I think the natural choice is Aubameyang who I will be going with myself.  He will be a shield captain pick due to his popularity so any alternate choice in that scenario has alot of rank risk attached to it and for me there is no real captain choice to compare him to that has enough backing to make the analysis of value.

 Good luck whoever you choose

  1. This is my WC squad – Ryan, Morgan, Lowton, Christensen, Alli, Groß, Willian, Iborra, Sánchez, Vardy, Aubameyang (c).
Bench: de Gea, Barnes, Cédric, Smalling.

It is high risk but I have 15 players for my BB in GW 34 and I have my FH for GW 35 and TC (Kane with 2.2m to bring him in for Aubameyang next week) for GW 37. Is it too high risk? Thoughts?

  2. @geek… I was thinking of selling Salah, and use the funds to upgrade others. he’ll be coming back in with the FH for 35 and with a FT in 38. So, it’ll only be 34, 36 & 37 without him in theory?
