Here’s some very early FFGeek team thoughts in this fantasy premier league GW35 article. We look at the gameweek 34 so far, transfer thoughts, blank and double gameweek thoughts and early captain thinking
FANTASY PREMIER LEAGUE GW35 – SOME VERY EARLY THOUGHTS ON THE FFGEEK TEAMS
So I’m going to keep continuing with my 2 team theme as a result of my accidental free hit chip being used in GW23.
Team 1 is the team with the free hit chip lost.
Team 2 has the free hit team intact and was cloned from one of my alternate FFGeek teams to be my original team through a -28 point hit.
Team 2 is to help people who were following my original team as a reference point so they can continue doing so.
Team 1 will help those people who used their free hit chip earlier in the season.
Both teams require totally different strategies to navigate through the potential blank and double gameweeks up coming

GW34 PERFORMANCE SO FAR – FREE HIT LOST TEAM

Chips wise I have my Bench boost left and are using my triple captain this week.
3 players out of 11 returning isn’t particularly helpful and in particular when I was hoping a good wildcard would balance out what is going to be a tricky blank GW35 week. There are still 5 games to go and 10 players to play though which I have to keep reminding myself of.
I could have lived with the Saturday but the Man Utd performance was inexcusably bad when you consider at stake was losing the title to your rivals. The idea of continually sending in crosses against a team that are only good in the air was pretty poor as was the ball movement that a team of snails would have been embarrassed about. Considering United were £1.17 to win it was a pretty shocking performance. I often think that City and Arsenal break down lower placed teams at home due to De Bruyne/ D Silva and Ozil and even Spurs with Eriksen now Spurs seem to be over the Wembley thing. Whereas United don’t really have a similar player. Anyway that’s another story.
Where Mourinho goes from here on Thursday who knows? On the 1 hand the title is gone so putting out a full team to not hand the title to City has gone as an insurance but then the prospect of finishing 2nd has taken a dent with Liverpool only a point behind, alebit having played a game more. However does the FA cup become more important? In many ways it doesn’t matter. It now will be what it will be.
I’ll move back in rank somewhat tonight with no Stoke or West Ham players (watch Ogbonna get a clean sheet!). Then Kane and then United and Chelsea/Leicester give me the chance to get back to maybe a green arrow.
Transfer thoughts and captaincy plans.
With no free hit I have 7 players with fixtures and 1 free transfer. I will definitely take a -4 and maybe even a -8. I just need to plan out how I can get it back in DGW37. The problem is who knows what the team lineups will be with Arsenal (EL focus), Man City (Title won) or Liverpool (UCL semi midweek). At this point I tend to bury my head in the sand a bit and hope the press conferences help but they really don’t. Aubameyang is the one certainty who will lineup due to being ineligible for the Europa League but thatwould mean taking out Lukaku which may or may not be a bad thing. I had contemplated this before hand but did the transfer anyway due to his captain favouritism and fixtures.
So that’s going to take a lot of thought and tinkering. The one thing for sure is that I have no captain at the moment so that may dictate the first transfer.

This team is as if I didn’t make an accidental free hit ie the same as my original team and was cloned from one of my alternate FFGeek teams to be my original team through a -28 point hit. I will keep it to show how I would have navigated through the blanks with all the chips intact. I think that will be helpful for those who were using my original team as a reference point

So if the FH lost team was bad. This has been a total disaster so far. Only 2 returning players out of 15. Give me a break. Again I keep reminding myself that there are still 5 games to go and 14 players to play again so all is not lost yet.
The gameweek has been made worse by the lineup and performance of Liverpool and Man City being so successful. I have to say I didn’t expect Spurs to be so bad against City. When you compare their press (which only lasted 15 minutes after half time) to Liverpools it was really quite poor. Some of the space Silva had in midfield was quite astounding. I vented enough about Man Utd above so won’t repeat that.
This team is getting the free hit treatment and I hope to do an article today on a first go. However as I said above the lineups of Arsenal, Man City and Liverpool are going to be tricky to predict. So no lineup without any transfers as it’s not particularly relevant.
