A rather unhelpful statement from Arsene Wenger today has made me rethink my fantasy premier league GW35 free hit intact team. So here’s the latest version (with some back ups) plus the FFGeek alternate teams (Bookies, xG and bandwagons teams) free hit lineups

So here’s what Wenger said today about Aubameyang:
“I haven’t decided that but anyway he can’t play on Thursday so I am not sure whether to play him on Sunday. No, I would say this weekend is as well a preparation for Thursday,” “I rested some players after the Moscow game, and they will need a game.”
How exceptionally helpful of you. That means he could play or he couldn’t with the knock on effect that Lacazette could play or he couldn’t.
It does mean a full team though but does it mean Koscielny and Ramsey who have both been a little injury prone recently?
It surely does mean Ozil? That has him potentially as an option although he hasn’t been that convincing.
So in the end I decided not to put Aubameyang in the free hit intact team and made the following transfers.
Hennessey out to Pickford
Alexander Arnold out to Van Dijk
Laporte out to Kompany
Jagielka out to Mustafi
Chambers out to Van Aanholt
Aubameyang out to Wood

The Laporte to Kompany transfer is more to do with the fact that it’s hard to see Kompany not play in front of the fans for the home game title celebration match.
The others are hopefully certainty of start upgrades and mainly affect the defence. At this stage of the season any lineup is possible.
I have 2 alternate options which includes Lacazette if I can convince myself he’ll start below
So I just need to mull that over. The risk is in Chambers although I can’t see Koscielny starting so it’s between Chambers and Holding. It still seems like Clyne and Gomez are ruled out so I just can’t see how anyone can play right back instead of TAA unlesss something weird like Lovren plays there?
Lacazette had the problem earlier in the season of not playing 90 mins and not getting bonus. However in the last 4 and in 6 of the last 8 he’s played 90 which is encouraging. He’s also got 2 bonus in the last 2 times he’s scored. It’s just whether he starts.
I also have an Ozil free hit option which is a pretty self explanatory 3-5-2 with Wood on the bench. Ozil relies on Wenger going through with the proper team promise as he has said above. Ozil has been rested for the last 2 so that needs careful consideration ie loads of agonising without being able to come to a decision.
The Expected goals free hit team
Currently 66k OR before kickoff tonight.
This is made up from the GW33 expected goals tables article by the highest ranking coupled with the value for money factor. I went with Lacazette here as he has got very good xG stats
The bookies free hit team
Struggling at 182k OR before kickoff
This is done by getting the players with the best clean sheet for defenders and anytime goal scoring odds for the next game for attackers into a team having regard to structure and budget. Aubameyangs anytime goal scoring odds are so strong I’ve kept him.
The bandwagons team
Struggling even more at 770k OR
This team is made up of the most transferred in players subject to some budget squeezing. Here’s the link to my bandwagons article
