Here’s our fantasy premier league GW38 team selection article where we outline the FFGeek teams. We look at last weeks points, transfers, team lineups and captain decisions.
FANTASY PREMIER LEAGUE GW38 TEAM SELECTION – THE FFGEEK TEAMS
Just to repeat for anyone new on the site, that I’m continuing with my 2 team theme as a result of my accidental free hit chip being used in GW23.
Team 1 is the team with the free hit chip lost.
Team 2 has the free hit team intact and was cloned from one of my alternate FFGeek teams to be my original team through a -28 point hit.
Team 2 is to help people who were following my original team as a reference point so they can continue doing so.
Team 1 will help those people who used their free hit chip earlier in the season.
Both teams required totally different strategies to navigate through the potential blank and double gameweeks
GW37 PERFORMANCE – FREE HIT LOST TEAM
GW37 points: 88 -8 on bench boost (average 67) Total points 2,214, Gameweek rank 598k, Overall Rank: 22k, green arrow 1k, Team Value: £102.5m

Transfer thoughts
I’ve got 1 free transfer and £0.5m in the bank
Transfers this week are about plugging potential holes from rest/rotation.
De Gea won’t be playing apparently but I’m covered there with Fabianski. Lingard according to Mourinho won’t start and Kenedy is ineligible.
However Christensen, Chambers and Austin I would also say are a risk
The transfers I thought about is for Kenedy with Gudmundsson or Milivojevic/Loftus Cheek in.
With Christensen who I think is the most likely of the 3 doubtfuls not to start above I would go for Van Dijk. Chambers and Austin I’m going to keep. Lingard I think can do something off the bench. I’m not keen on a hit for a single gameweek in the last gameweek.
I’ll tweet and facebook my transfer closer to the deadline. I’m going to wait to see if any team news leaks but will make a transfer around 1.30 just to avoid any FPL site complications
So the transfer will be Christensen for Van Dijk or Kenedy for Gudmundsson/Milivojevic/Loftus Cheek
Lineup conundrums
This will be the lineup if I replace Christensen with Van Dijk. If I was to replace Kenedy he would see Austin move to the bench
Captain thoughts
Not sure if you saw my captain article but I’m going for Salah

This team is as if I didn’t make an accidental free hit ie the same as my original team and was cloned from one of my alternate FFGeek teams to be my original team through a -28 point hit. I will keep it to show how I would have navigated through the blanks with all the chips intact. I think that will be helpful for those who were using my original team as a reference point
GW37 points: 59 on TC (average 67) Total points 2,122 Gameweek rank 4,063k Overall Rank: 150k red arrow 38k Team Value: £100.9m

Transfer thoughts
This week I have 1 free transfer and £0m in the bank.
There are so many problems it’s unreal. De Gea won’t be playing apparently but I’ve got Ryan for what it’s worth. Lingard according to Mourinho won’t start. Chilwell is injured. Schelotto also won’t start I expect.
However Christensen, Silva and Austin I would also say are a risk as well. That means 3 players virtually certain not to start and another 2 serious risks and Austin also a doubt to start.
The question is do I take hits to plug the holes. With only 1 game to make it up I wouldn’t even normally think about doing it
So the transfer will be Chilwell/Schelotto to Alexander Arnold and/or Silva to Arnautovic. I’m just holding off to 1.30 to see if there’s any news about David Silva
I’ll tweet and facebook the transfers around 1.30. I don’t want to leave it too close to 2pm in case there are issues with the FPL site if everyone is doing it
Team selection
No issues there as the bench picks itself. Assume Chilwell or Schelotto is Alexander Arnold. It’s just whether Silva swaps for Arnautovic
