These 10 managers have not finished outside the overall rank of the top 10k in the last 3 seasons. Considering how variable the last 3 years have been this is remarkable consistency and shows an ability to adapt strategy in different seasons. It also gives you a view other than my own on strategy and player selection.

This season we welcome back 4 of last seasons managers who were the subject of our article. We add to that a new 6 managers. Stats of these managers are unbelievable and every bit as impressive as last season
1. The overall average finishing overall rank of the top 10 managers in the last 3 seasons is 2,963
2. The top 10 FPL managers have not been out of the top 10k in the last 3 seasons (ie 30 times playing)
3. All 10 have finished in the top 1,000 in the last 3 seasons
GAMEWEEK REVIEW
A terrible week for the top 10 FPL managers. 9/10 had red arrows.
The average score of the managers in GW5 was 55 compared to the average of 58. That’s 3 points and 5% below the average score. High score of the 10 was 66. The low score was 50. A spread of 16 for a fairly high scoring gameweek.
The average overall rank of the top 10 FPL managers saw a large worsening to 1.172 million compared to 857k in the last gameweek. An average rank worsening of 315k. The best rank is 418k and the lowest 2.016 million. If you calculated the median rank then that worsened to 1.173 million compared to 725k last gameweek. An worsening of rank of 448k. Only 4 managers have overall ranks better than 1 million.
The average points are 265.
The average value sees it stay the same to £100.6m
If you’re interested my score was poor at 53 with no hits and resulted in a 151k red arrow from 49k overall rank to 210k . I had a lower score than all but 2 the 10 managers. However I’m ahead in OR terms of all 10 of the top managers. My team value is up £0.2m on the last gameweek at £100.7m. My total score is 295 points.
