Introduction

This is part 4 of the FPL managers who contribute to the FFGeek site with good histories who show their teams each week. This will give people a feel for what other managers are doing. It’s a fairly informal thing with no obligation on anyone and these teams may change at anytime before the deadline without further notice. It won’t cover transfers in real time either. It’s just to give an idea of the trends for the week no more.  The teams are shown as their “final-ish” teams so they could change.  Where they have twitter accounts I have shown this and they may update them there or on our Slack Channel which is part of our subscription Patreon site but this is not guaranteed

Chris Tucker

Chris’s last 3 seasons overall rank were 41k, 17k and 1k

GW5 points: 64 (FPL average 60), Total points: 279, Overall Rank: 1,705k,  green arrow: 82k,  Team Value: £99.8m

Probably a week or two late, but I’ve finally learnt my lesson and wildcarded. There is an argument for waiting for the fixture swing that occurs a few gameweeks down the road, but I can’t continue to watch my rank stagnate at 1.7million. Also, there’s around 5/6 issues with my team, which is certainly enough to warrant using the wildcard chip. Chief among them being without Kane and Calvert-Lewin. The extra advantage of investing funds into the attack is that it enables an easy move to Aguero at some point in November.

James Rodriguez and Foden became Grealish and Zaha when news of the Everton man’s one-week absence broke. I am weighing up whether to keep Foden as I would ideally want some City coverage, but Zaha is a tempting punt with a great fixture away to Fulham. I may still play around with my cheap defenders, and Wilson could easily become Maupay before the deadline. However, I think I’m pretty much there.

Best of luck to you all!

Avishek Majumdar

Avishek’s last 3 seasons are 13k, 45k and 64k

GW5 points: 63 (FPL average 60), Total points: 275, Overall Rank: 1,898k,  green arrow: 61k,  Team Value: £100.4m

I am not going to go over each pick but essentially I have moved on to double Spurs and Everton attack sacrificing United, Wolves, and a premium City attacker. City with KDB out doesn’t look at their best so I am going to take a chance with Foden as my only City attacking representation for now. What I don’t like though is sacrificing Jimenez on the back of a reasonable if not explosive return and ahead of a nice fixture run. So I came up with another draft that would include Jimenez but would involve sacrifices in a few other slots.

Option 1 no Jimenez

Option 2 with Jimenez draft

Essentially it is

Gomez Targett Lamptey Barkley Jimenez vs Robbo Chilwell Keane Grealish Brewster.

So to help me decide it would be great if you guys could vote below:

1. No Jimenez draft.
2. Jimenez draft.

Thank you and good luck for GW 6!

Rob Cosgrove

Rob’s last 4 seasons overall rank were 64k, 45k, 40k and 23k

GW5 points: 76 -4 (FPL average 60), Total points: 233, Overall Rank: 4,082k,  green arrow: 865k,  Team Value: £100.2m

My original plan to bring in Semedo has been thwarted by the Rodriguez injury, which doesn’t seem too serious so I wanted to bench him for this week but that would mean playing 1 of Burke, Justin or Lewis if I stuck to my original transfer plan. So I have kept Barnes to play so I can bench Rodriguez.

Transfer summary:  Burke, Egan OUT Barkley, Lewis IN
