fantasy premier league hits – Chilwell injury means 2 additional transfers for the FFGeek team

,

Well I was wavering anyway but the news on Chilwell’s injury pushed me over the edge and I’ve now taken an 8 point deduction.  Fantasy premier league hits are not my favourite as you’ll know but I felt compelled to do it

The changes are only to the free hit lost team btw and only due to the bench boost as otherwise I would just benched Chilwell

I won’t give you all the background but you can read my GW37 team selection article if you haven’t already

Effectively the injury to Chilwell, which I didn’t spot earlier, gave me a blank on my bench.  Not what you want when you’re using your bench boost and the hit is easily replaced with the DGW.  So I used the injury and the need to replace him to plug the 2 obvious holes in my team of Vertonghen and Arnautovic.

So additional transfers for a -8 point deduction are:

Chilwell out Vertonghen in

Mahrez out Arnautovic in

  1. Planning to transfer out Robertson and get a double week defender in, any suggestions for a sub £5m defender? Cedric or Naughton?

  2. I understand the logic of using the TC in a DGW but I need to make up 40 points in 2 weeks so any thoughts on taking an outside punt on using the TC week 38 on Salah at home to Brighton?

  3. Lingard was always a gametime risk, though I suspect he will now start the West Ham game.

I haven’t learnt my lesson, last week I had Ryan on the bench with De Gea in goal, that cost me 8 points and I didn’t even sub him in this week :-(
