fantasy premier league – my imaginary wildcard GW27

Fantasy Premier League

Here’s an imaginary fantasy premier league wildcard team for GW27.  I wouldn’t seriously advise you to use your wildcard now if you’ve still got one.  I would leave that for the moment to see how gameweek 31 shapes up.  This is really to giVe you some ideas for getting through the gameweek 28 and 29 fixture nightmare challenge.

Firstly here’s the team

I’ve assumed the team is there to face GW27 and have set it up for a transfer for GW28 and GW29. It means you have a full team for GW28 and GW29 plus have a start for the currently known DGW31.  Obviously without a Wildcard, having a full team for GW29 causes some problems if GW31 becomes a mass DGW.  However,  there is no way round that, it’s just a personal choice every fantasy premier league manager will have to make

GW27imagWC

Boruc

29 goals conceded and 10 clean sheets.  2 clean sheets in the last 5.  Southampton have reasonable fixtures overall and a clean run over GW28 and GW29 with no blanks

Next 6 fantasy premier league fixtures:

West Ham (A)
Liverpool (H)
Crystal Palace (A)
Norwich (H)
Tottenham (A)
Newcastle (H)

Mannone

Its 7 clean sheets in 18 games since Poyet joined.  Sunderland have a game postponed already plus no game in GW28 and GW29.  Installing him as number 2 sets you up for 3 DGWs in the future

Arsenal (A)
– Gameweek 28 –
– Gameweek 29 –
Crystal Palace (H)
Norwich (A)
West Ham (H)
Tottenham (A)
Everton (H)

Ivanovic

Chelsea have a clean run through GW28/29 with no blanks.  Champions league games may cause some rotation though but having rested through injury Ivanovic may not be a desperate rotation option.  21 goals conceded and 11 clean sheets.   3 clean sheets in the last 5 including  a clean sheet at City.  Need Terry back have the defence at it’s best  and he could be fit to face Everton in GW27.  Ivanovic is the current scoring option and probably has the best underlying attacking stats.

Next 6 fantasy premier league fixtures:

Everton (H)
Fulham (A)
Tottenham (H)
Aston Villa (A)
Arsenal (H)
Crystal Palace (A)

Koscielny (GW29 transfer to Olsson (Nor))

Koscielny is in for the clean sheet potential home  to Sunderland in GW27 with a transfer out then to Olsson.  Olsson has the attacking potential and home to Stoke in GW29 is a good clean sheet prospect.

Next 6 fantasy premier league fixtures:

Sunderland (H)
Stoke City (A)
– Gameweek 29 –
Tottenham (A)
Chelsea (A)
Man City (H)

Ward

15 goals conceded and 5 clean sheets at home in 13 games.   2 clean sheets in their last 5 home games. Ward  has 1 assist and 5 bonus points and has played in midfield.  No blanks in GW28/29 and have the postponed game (albeit away to Everton) for a future DGW

Next 6 fantasy premier league fixtures:

Man Utd (H)
Swansea (A)
Southampton (H)
Sunderland (A)
Newcastle (A)
Chelsea (H)

B Turner

Has a clean run through GW28/29 and will come into play  nicely for a home game to Fulham in GW29. Cardiff have the potemtial against the lower ranked teams for clean sheets

Next 6 fantasy premier league fixtures:

Hull City (H)
Tottenham (A)
Fulham (H)
Everton (A)
Liverpool (H)
West Brom (A)

Evans

Currently injured but expected to be back for GW27.  Makes little odds if he is or not as long as he has no game in GW28.  Only crucial to be back for GW29 when he will be needed

Next 6 fantasy premier league fixtures:

Crystal Palace (A)
– Gameweek 28 –
West Brom (A)
Liverpool (H)
West Ham (A) (GW31)
Man City (H) (GW31)
Aston Villa (H)

Hazard

Not the most consistent returner (under 50%) but has the potential to score big especially at home.  No blanks in GW28/29.

Next 6 fantasy premier league fixtures:

Everton (H)
Fulham (A)
Tottenham (H)
Aston Villa (A)
Arsenal (H)
Crystal Palace (A)

Lallana

No blanks in GW28/29.  Good fixtures and in good form returning in 4 of his last 5 games.

Next 6 fantasy premier league fixtures:

West Ham (A)
Liverpool (H)
Crystal Palace (A)
Norwich (H)
Tottenham (A)
Newcastle (H)

Mata

Has got 3 assists in the 4 games in since joining United.  Moyes doesn’t seem sure where to play him but wherever he does he will drift into a central role.  Still early days and has alot to prove and the fixtures are mixed.  However only Silva has created more chances per minute this season and with Rooney (hopefully playing as a striker) and RVP as targets then expect the assists to flow.  Not really showed the goal scoring ability he had last year yet.  Blank in GW28 but DGW31

Next 6 fantasy premier league fixtures:

Crystal Palace (A)
– Gameweek 28 –
West Brom (A)
Liverpool (H)
West Ham (A) (GW31)
Man City (H) (GW31)
Aston Villa (H)

Snodgrass

A goal and an assist and 2 returning games in his last 5. No blanks in GW28/29 and good fixtures generally.  Has a good share of set pieces and has great underlying stats.  Not in the most attacking or goal scoring team but has alot of fundamentally good points

Next 6 fantasy premier league fixtures:

Tottenham (H)
Aston Villa (A)
Stoke City (H)
Southampton (A)
Sunderland (H)
Swansea (A)

Silva

2 blanks in GW28/29  will make people question whether he is worth holding.  However  a DGW31 plus a postponed game home to Sunderland to come make it worthwile for me.  Numbers have fallen off a little in recent weeks only returning in 2 out of last 5 games.   However still has the best shooting and creating chances stats of any midfielder plus very consistent returner

Next 6 fantasy premier league fixtures:

Stoke City (H)
– Gameweek 28 –
Gameweek 29
Hull City (A)
Fulham (H)
Man Utd (A)
Arsenal (A)

Dzeko (transfer GW28 to Adebayor or Lambert)

Only a short substitute appearance against Barca has to put him in line for a starting position in the juicy ficture home to Stoke in GW27.  Started 6 of the last 9 games with 4 goals and 2 assists and 4 returning games of those 9.  At home to Stoke is worth the hold in my mind before a transfer to Lambert or Adebayor who have clean runs through GW28/29

Next 6 fantasy premier league fixtures:

Stoke City (H)
– Gameweek 28 –
Gameweek 29
Hull City (A)
Fulham (H)
Man Utd (A)
Arsenal (A)

Sturridge

Incredibly consistent scorer with an 88% return rate.  Specialises in getting behind defences through running on to through balls.  Has increased in value significantly so difficult to sell. In amazing form with the last 4 games showing his ability to finish with 5 goals and 2 assists.  Has returned in all his last 5 games.

Next 6 fantasy premier league fixtures:

Swansea (H)
Southampton (A)
– Gameweek 29 –
Man Utd (A)
Cardiff City (A)
Tottenham (H)

Suarez

2 assists in his last 3 games may seem like a disaster compared to Sturridge but still returned in 4 of his last 5 games.  Apart from the spell on the right wing in the FA Cup has still looking like he’s doing the right things.  Will be too difficult to sell anyway given difference between sell and buy price

Next 6 fantasy premier league fixtures:

Swansea (H)
Southampton (A)
– Gameweek 29 –
Man Utd (A)
Cardiff City (A)
Tottenham (H)

So this what the teams would look like in GW28 and GW29 after the transfers above

GW28

Boruc – Ivanovic Koscielny Ward Turner – Hazard Lallana Snodgrass – Adebayor Sturridge Suarez:  Reserves:  Mannone Evans Mata Silva

GW29

Boruc – Ivanovic Olsson Ward Turner Evans – Hazard Lallana Snodgrass Mata – Adebayor.   Reserves:  Mannone Silva Sturridge Suarez

Thats it, hope you found it useful
