fantasy premier league match analysis – game week 3 – plus TFF & Sun DT info

Gameweek analysis

Heres my GW3 review for fantasy premier league and telegraph fantasy football  by match and then a summary of the leading data. Just to remind you I wont mention shooting stats or chances created if the player did less than 3 of either in the match

Heres the structure by game:

1. match line ups

2 possession stats

3. match shot stats

4. Barclays fantasy premier league goals assists and bonus ‘

5 Telegraph variations to 4 (this is for the contribution rule which is different than fantasy premier league)  plus we say who the Sun star man was

5. shooting stats by player

6. a short paragraph re the game

Then to wrap it up at the end I will give the top 10 shooting stats for the game week for midfielders and forwards. I will aggregate them when we get to GW4. Just because they are in the top 10 stats means they wont necessarily be in the 12w list. That will depend on game time and positional prospects plus upcoming fixtures. its a mammoth read so hope you find it useful.  Stats are from BBC football

Carroll was unplayable and the benefits were felt by Nolan especially.  Another clean sheet for west ham and with big Sam emphasising their importance a WEst ham defender is looking a bargain

Dont be fooled by the stats if anyone deserved to win this it was Norwich.  Snodgrass was the star in the advanced Mid position.  Defoe and bale shot but the shots were dominated by being outside the area.  Dembele offered something different and could split defences by running at them

despite the score and possession Everton especially Jelavic and Fellaini had great chances to get somethig from the game.  WBA defended well.  Morrison still keeps his place as a 12w for me and Fellaini moves had with the chances he had of Pienaar

As Newcastle continues to play 4-4-2 Ba becomes a far better value option than Cisse.  Ben Arfa is the main attacking midfield threat.  Bent shone for Villa and is the best attacking option unless you want a cheaper filler in Ireland.  Nzogbia was dropped and is now off the radar.

what can you say about RVP a masterclass in finishing.  De Gea was dropped making my lack of a sub goal keeper not looking clever.  kagawa was quiet and looks a swap possibilty for hazard in some eyes although not before the Wigan home game.  Punchean has shown some cheapie form but may be threatened by Do Prados return.
