Comments on important fantasy premier league players:

Rodriguez Lambert and Lallana all starred for Southampton and must be considered options going forward with Southampton also having good fixtures although the next is home to Chelsea although after that they are away to Reading

Suarez was totally anonymous in every department and Sturridge was better in this instance.  Liverpools next game is home to West Ham though so no need to panic sell just yet and they generally have good fixtures.

Downing although very involved had very little output in this game but fixtures and value do make him an option going forward

Downing

 Swansea 0 Arsenal 2

A clean sheet at Bayern and a clean sheet at Swansea for those who think I’m out of my mind for backing the Arsenal defence.  Shame its now impossible to predict who will line up in it.  Goals from Monreal and sub Gervinho assisted by Giroud and Ramsey gave Arsenal a good win

Defensive stats:    Arsenals defensive stats were terrific.  Swanseas not too bad either.

Player shooting stats:   Gervinho and Michu led the shooting stats

Pen box touches:    Jenkinson Giroud and Cazorla

Chances created:     Cazorla Giroud and Davies

Most advanced midfielders:   Michu and Cazorla

Most involved players in attacking positions for each team:  Cazorla and pablo

Comments on important fantasy premier league players:

Michu is under great scrutiny by fantasy premier league managers at the moment as he’s only scored in the QPR game in his last 10.  I’ve still backed him on the basis that he’s 3rd in the last 6 shooting stats.  Today his stats weren’t too bad in terms of shots but his pen box touches were very low.  unfortunately the fixtures to the end of the season are terrible and he thrives on the poor teams not the good ones.  A home game to Spurs who have the 2nd best away defence after City is not really where you want to start. Its then away to Norwich and a blank in 33.  This maybe the time to sell stats or not.

Walcott was disturbingly quiet on all fronts with poor showings in terms of shooting chances created pen box touches and average position.  However before a home game to reading and a DGW in fantasy premier league GW33 s really not the time to sell.

Cazorla ran the game but still was limited to creating chances and shooting from outside the box although his pen box touches, involvement and average position were all positive but the bottom line was again no return. He’s a gamble at best

Giroud has had outstanding underlying stats but has only had 1 assist in his last 6 starts.  Today he was quiet on the shooting front but but did contribute in creating chances and involvement.  I can only think that this will soon  turn around as he’s getting the shots just not hitting the target.  He is an option at £7.5m for me no doubt before the Reading game.
