 Wigan 1 Norwich 0

Another Kone goal assisted by Gomez

Defensive stats:     fantastic stats from Wigan, not good from Norwich

Player shooting stats:     Kone was the only one to register

Pen box touches:     Maloney Alcaraz Kamara and Snodgrass

Chances created:     Beaujesour Maloney and Snodgrass

Most advanced midfielders for each team:   Maloney and Snodgrass although Snodgrass on the flank

Most involved players in attacking positions for each team: Maloney and Garrido

Comments on important fantasy premier league players:

Kone again showed why he is a fantasy option once the DGW is over.  Maloney and Snodgrass were disappointing on the shooting front but created chances and sowed good other underlying stats.  The Norwich defence is only really for home games and their attack a good clean sheet option when away from home.

Man City 4 Newcastle 0

goals from Kompany Silva and Tevez with assists from Clichy Nasri YYT and barry

Defensive stats:    fantastic from City.  Very poor from Newcastle

Player shooting stats:    Dzeko Tevez and Kompany led the stats

Pen box touches:        Dzeko YYT and Nasri

Chances created:    Nasri

Most advanced midfielders: Silva with Nasri on the flank

Most involved players in attacking positions for each team: Silva and Sissoko/Cabaye

Comments on important fantasy premier league players:

Dzeko and Tevez were fantastic, the only issue will be who partners Aguero when he returns to the action.

Nasri didnt show any shooting stats but did create chances and get in the box.  Silva again frustrated in the underlying stats.  He did score was playing in an adavnced role and was involved but the lack of shooting and creating chances out put against such injury ridden opposition is quite disturbing in my mind and he isnt an option for me.

Difficult to be critical f Newcastle players considering the fixture but Cisse Sissoko and Cabaye did very little

West Ham 3 WBA 1

Carroll got 2 goals O’neill a goal and an assist with additional assists from Collins and Vaz Te.  Dorrans scored with a Lukaku assist

Defensive stats:   Both sides defensively were pretty average

Player shooting stats:      Carroll and Vaz Te followed by Odemwingie and Rosenberg

Pen box touches:     Carroll Vaz Te Long and Jarvis

Chances created:      Mulumbu follwed by O’Neill Lukaku and Vaz Te

Most advanced midfielders for each team:  Jarvis on the flank and O’Neill wide.  Dorrans for WBA

Most involved players in attacking positions for each team:  Vaz Te and Carroll.  Lukaku for WBA

Comments on important fantasy premier league players:

Lukaku was the biggest disappointment all round apart from creating a few chances.  He did return with an assist but perhaps not being the lone striker took something away from him in underlying stats. Carrolls recent underlying stats have suggested goals are coming and they finally did. Vaz Te was the surprise.  At £5.1m with a kind run in and a DGW could he be another cheap option

Everton 1 Stoke 0

A Mirallas wonder goal assisted by Barkley gave Everton the win together with a CS

Defensive stats:   Defensively Everton did ok.  Not so great from Stoke though.

Player shooting stats:    Jelavic Huth Mirallas and Anichebe led the way

Pen box touches:  Jelavic Huth and Mirallas

Chances created:      Baines and Gibson

Most advanced midfielders:   Coleman for Everton on the flank even though he was an RB.  Walters for Stoke

Most involved players in attacking positions for each team:     Baines and Jerome

Comments on important fantasy premier league players:

A long overdue CS for the defence although Stoke away is always the prime opportunity.  A return for Jelavic both he and Anicehebe are options its just who will play when Fellaini and Pienaar return.  Same dilemma for Mirallas who will probably be moved out wide for the DGW.

Walters and Crouch produced little for Stoke.  It says alot when Huth is the attacking force.
