fantasy premier league match analysis overview – Saturday game week 15 – part 1

Gameweek analysis

Here’s the fantasy premier league match analysis overview for Saturday game week 15 part 1

Reading 3 Man U 4

The return of Wayne Rooney with 2 goals and an assist and surely the 3 bonus points for his 7% fantasy premier league owners.  The game was also notable for the early substitution of Rafael after he was given a torrid time by McAnuff of all people.  Hopefully he wont face Messi or Ronaldo this year.  I certainly wouldn’t be rushing out to buy him after that.  The game was a defensive nightmare for both sides and the only people coming out happy after that would be owners of De Gea after Lindegaards disaster and anyone thinking of buying Vidic as the CBs must be under question after that performance.

Amazingly Morrison led the shooting stats.   He has become a real threat at set pieces with another goal from a corner.  Rooney, RVP with his goal and Le Fondre with his were next in line in the shooting stats.  Shorey had a monster game on the chances created front which led to 2 assists for his fantasy premier league owners.  Pen box touches were led by RVP, Morrison and Robson Kanu who also scored. Robson Kanu and Anderson were the most forward midfielders.

West Ham 3 Chelsea 1

Fantasy premier league owners of Chelsea assets must have been wondering only how many goals would the likes of  Mata and Hazard would get before it all fell horribly apart and really any investment in their defence or anyone except Mata must be seriously questioned at the moment.  Much as I criticise Big Sam for his football philosophy you cant argue with results and this was a 2nd half triumph.  Chelsea’s defensive stats were absolutely appalling for a so called top 4 side and West Hams weren’t fantastic either.

Mata led the shooting stats followed by Torres. Nolan, Jarvis, Diame and Cole followed behind.  Hazard was relatively quiet.  Notable pen box touches were in order, Cole, Nolan, Mata, Jarvis, Moses and  Torres.  Chances created were shared by Mata, Ramires Noble and Taylor. Note the lack of Hazard in either of these stats?  Jarvis and Hazard were the most forward mids

 Arsenal 0 Swansea 2

What can you say about Michu?  Top of the last 6 shooting stats despite having one of the hardest set of games he is indeed fixture proof.  2 fantastic finishes.  How can a mid table team go to the Emirates and come away with 56% possession?  Amazing.   Arsenals defending was poor.  Swansea’s good considering the venue.

Cazorla followed by Michu and Rangel led the shooting stats.  Cazorla and Wilshire led the pen box touches.  Michu was in a group of 4 just behind.  Chances created were shared around evenly.  A very quiet game all round from Walcott who was the most forward midfielder for Arsenal with De Guzman for Swansea.

Fulham 0 Spurs 3

Defoe with 2 goals has still got 17% fantasy premier league ownership and there can be no way that Adebayor will come back in to the side.  The other major talking point was the Bale hamstring injury.  AVB has talked about 1-2 weeks but that seems light to me.

Both sides had good defensive stats its just that Spurs finishing was lethal.  Defoe, Bale and Petric led the shooting stats.  Pen box touches were led by Dejagh followed by Bale, Defoe and Petric.  Chances created were led by Duff.  Dejagh and Bale were the most forward midfieders.  It was a very quiet day for Berba who did absolutely nothing against his old club.
