fantasy premier league news catch up – Tuesday 22 October 2013

News

Here’s the Tuesday 22 October 2013 fantasy premier league news in brief on a fairly quiet day with news on Walcott, Flamini, Ben Davies, Andre Wisdom, Danny Graham and RVW plus price rises and falls

Walcott and Flamini

Walcott is out for another 2 weeks with a setback in training. Means a return for GW11.
Flamini however may only miss 1 gameweek if that.
Interesting where this leaves Ramsey, either in the double pivot where he is most productive or in Walcotts position, which although more advanced, doesn’t seem to suit him as much. I cant predict it at the moment but it if Flamini is rested for GW9 then Ramsey should at least be in that position for the juicy Palace encounter

Ben Davies

Out for 2 games, those being the Europa league game midweek and the GW9 fixture against West Ham. Given the short nature if the injury and the good fixtures on the way worth holding for me.

Wisdom

Set to join Derby County on loan. When Sterling plays RWB ahead of you, you know your times up so this is no surprise. The 3-5-2 seems here to stay with Johnson and Toure, Henderson or Sterling as cover. Toure remains the only cheap entry to the Liverpool midfield which has gone 5 games without a clean sheet and has seen deteriorating underlying stats. With fixtures getting harder they no longer seem a must have option.

Danny Graham

It seems a long time ago that people actually cared about cheapie forwards and Danny Graham was even a possible starting option. Well with inform strikers as common as rain in Manchester the fate of cheapie strikers seems an irrelevance. However if you’re on the verge of transferring in Hazard and Silva and need cash Graham is injured with a return date of 3 weeks.  Goal scorer cheapie Sagbo is the likely replacement

RVW

Speaking of misfiring cheapie strikers RVW missed out on the Arsenal game through injury rather than dropped and Hughton is hoping he will be back for GW9.  Not for me with all the alternatives

Price rises and falls

Lovren and Townsend have gone up £0.2m.  Fonte, Clyne, Vertonghen and Terry all £0.1m.  Oscar, Barkley, Ramsey, Lallana, Ozil and Januzaj £0.1m as mids.  Lukaku Suarez and Remy as mids.

Price falls too numerous to mention but some of the main ones are (all £0.1m)  Agger, Zabaleta, Lescott,  Fellaini, Sterling, Navas, HBA, Redmond, Cisse, Dzeko, Welbeck, Chamakh, RVW, Crouch, Gouffran, Campbell, Torres, Ba, Gayle and Kone
