fantasy premier league news in brief – 14 September 2012

News

Back from my travels here’s fantasy premier league  bullet point news in a bit of a basic form.  Todays its RVP, Kagawa, Friedel,  Mata, Berba, Fulham others, Krul, City and price rises/falls with more changes.  My line up article will follow in a couple of hours after this if you’re wondering by the way.

1.  RVP is fit!

No more captain conundrum.  Here’s what SAF had to say:

‘On the injury front, everyone’s fit, apart from the ones we know about – Jones and Smalling,’

Its news by inference but I’ll take that!.  Thanks to drunken womble for putting the news on the site in the comments section.

I would be very careful with your vice captain selection though in case its a SAF smokescreen.  RVP is hardly known for his injury recovery.

2.  Kagawa is fit.

The implication again for those who suffered his quiet game against Saints is that  hopefully he will line up.  I don’t think SAF has that much choice with Rooney injured and Cleverly showing how not to play as an attacking midfielder last week.

I would warn everyone not to double up on RVP and Kagawa as captain and vice though.  Remember the Aguero and Silva resting that  took a number of people last year.

3.  Friedel will play.

AVB stated in his press conference.  All those thinking a panic transfer was needed have at least 1 further week to sort it out.  The near 15k who did needn’t have panicked.

4.  Mata may not start

A tweet from CFC indicated he was being thought about for not starting.  Personally I would drop him on form let alone fatigue

5. Berbatov will start

Very helpful of Fulham to state this in a tweet along with the fact that Ruiz is 50/50.  Shame they didn’t say whether its Rodallega or Petric who will start with him.  My gut feeling is that it will be  Ruiz if fit or Rodallega as Petric likes to play  up top and the other 2 will sit better with Berba. However don’t gamble, pick Berba if you fancy a Fulham forward.

6.  Richardson Frei and Senderos are out.

Great news for fantasy premier league owners of cheapie  Kacaniklic who now should start.  Also more security for Hughes in the back line with Senderos out.

7.  Krul is out.

I’m not a fan of the Newcastle defence in any case and I believe Krul was crucial to clean sheets last year.  An average set of fixtures as well.

8.  Mancini gives no clues on City line up or Aguero.

Here’s some of the quotes as shown in the Daily Mail:

‘We try this morning with Sergio and after training we decide. He is getting better – maybe.”

‘Mario is okay – Mario now sees everything.’

‘Garcia is okay, Maicon the same, no problem. Nastasic arrived yesterday for the first session. They are all okay.
‘Today is the first training together after the international break. After this training session we will decide.’

Personally I think there’s more chance of Aguero lining up for the Argentine Puma rugby team this weekend than against Stoke.  He’d probably be safer.

Thanks Roberto for saying nothing on Zabaleta.

9.  Price rises/falls

The inevitable happened and hazard is now £10.2m up £0.7m.  More will happen over night I believe.

That’s it then.  Excuse the brevity.
