fantasy premier league news of the day – 26 September 2012

News

Heres the fantasy premier league news for 26 September 2012.  Includes Vidic, Valencia, Jelavic, Capital one cup and price rises/falls.

Vidic

An interesting statistic appeared in the Daily Mail

Without Nemanja Vidic, United’s win percentage in the Premier League drops by nearly 10 per cent. They have won 74 per cent with their captain and 65 per cent without him. They are also 30 per cent more likely to concede a goal in a game.

When you consider that Vidic is rested for the easier games then this statistic is even more alarming.  SAF said that once Ferdy and Vidic get some time together then the clean sheets will come.  With terrible underlying defensive stats and one of the worst fixture lists over the next 6 games,  I’m staying away.  Fantasy premier league owners of everyone except Rafael should sell when the opportunity arises

Valencia

According to a story in the Daily Mail he was seen leaving on crutches from training.  Apparently as a result of the Glen Johnson challenge.  To me there seemed minimal contact?  Owners of Nani with Young still injured and Valencia in doubt should be secure in game time.

Jelavic

Worth a special mention that he played last night.  Those fantasy premier league managers who didn’t panic sell after the weekend in the hope of him appearing against Saints at Goodison on the weekend should be delirious.  A lot of form recently for Mirallas and even Anichebe but the Croatian is a special finisher and should start

Capital one cup

Sun dream team owners of Zabaleta (ie me) will be disappointed at their exit.  Less competitions means less games

Cahill starting instead of Luiz has to be another indication that Luiz is the preffered CB although JTs impending ban will postpone that issue for a while.  Fixtures for Chelsea arent great though so I wouldn’t jump for either.  If you must go for a Chelsea DEFENDERpay the extra for Ivanovic.  Rotation looks much more justifiable for RDM when his back up squad can produce performances like this

Sun Dream Team owners of Everton players will be gutted at their exit as additional games against easier opponents in a competition you would think they would want to win should be a major attraction

A goal for Nzogbia gives hope for his fantasy premier league owners ie me (until he can be shipped out) that he may play on the weekend.

Bosellis 2 goals for Wigan give some hope that he may appear.  Good value and by all accounts a natural goal scorer.  Be wary though.  He was a total disaster a couple of seasons ago.

Michu and Graham scored for Swansea.  Fantasy premier league owners will hope that this gives confidence to the duo who have been silenced (along with the rest of the team) in the last 2 games.  Fixtures are about to get harder so I would not be buying .

Cattermole banned for 3 games.  Hopefully only the truly desperate or die hard Sunderland fans own him rather than Kacaniklic, Guthrie or Sterling as their cheapie, but bad, if not entirely predictable news. Sell

Price rises/falls

Fellaini up £0.3m to £7.2m  Ba up £0.2m to £7.9m this game week.  14 others up £0.1m

A multitude of people are down £0.1m no one more this game week
