News

Heres the fantasy premier league news of the day including the champion league games, Piennar,Evans, Frei and price rises and falls

Champs league

Great news for sun dream team owners of RVP, 2 goals.  the partnership was very encouraging between him and Rooney building on Rooneys good second half last week against spurs. he certainly seems to have stepped ahead of Kagawa who didn’t seemed to fit in to the role in my mind.  Although RVP has played Saturday and  Tuesday i have no doubt he will turn out away to Newcastle on the weekend which will be a difficult game.  Here’s what SAF said about them:

‘Everyone thought it was going to be a miracle combination,’ said the United boss. ‘The best thing is they can both turn a game.

‘It doesn’t matter if they have a personal combination, it’s their ability to finish moves off.’

Utd played a near full strength team but as with RVP I see little scope for rotation with those who played due to the difficulty of the assignment away to Newcastle.

Chelsea didn’t play such a strong team.  The defence was full strength but lamps came in for Mikel.  The prognosis is not good for  Lamps.   I dont see Mikel and Lamps as a functioning screening pair as neither have the athleticism which is why Ramires has been introduced to the role.   Hazard was only given a late run out which probably guarantees his start for those fantasy premier league managers thinking of him as captain against Norwich.

Pienaar

Steven Pienaar announced his retirement from international football.  I don’t think Pienaar’s game time from an Everton perspective has ever been  at risk this season given his productive partnership with Baines but this will certainly give confidence to his fantasy premier league owners that he will benefit from rest, reducing rotation and injury.  Hes still a hold in my mind even after his blank at the weekend, with Evertons fixtures.  You’d have to be pretty happy with the rest of your fantasy premier league team to be looking to ship him out.  He cited the physical toll of playing in the premier league and International football after 10 years as the reason

Jonny Evans

Fantasy premier league managers thinking of purchasing Jonny Evans for some reason, given their fixtures and defensive form, should hold off for the moment as he’s struggling for the weekend with a thigh injury.  Here’s SAF as quoted in the Telegraph

“Jonny got injured on Saturday with a dead leg.” Ferguson said. “He’s got five days now to recover for Sunday and hopefully he’ll be OK.

Richardson and Frei

As if owners of Fulham cheapie Kacaniklic didn’t have enough problems with Ruiz coming on to the left flank last weekend. Richardson and Frei, who are both contenders for the same position are back in training.  According to phsyio room Frei could be back this weekend although I would be surprised if the Ruiz and Rodallega didn’t line up as last week.

Price rises and falls

Sorry for missing it out yesterday.

Price rises:  still no one gone up £0.2m.  15 players have gone up £0.1m including Bale and Ba.

Price falls.  numerous £0.1m falls plus Tevez down £0.2m interestingly.  The fixtures are with him even though rotation probably isnt with Aguero being the freshest ater the enforced rest.  Still Im not looking t sell at the moment.
