Fantasy premier league news of the day – 30 august 2012

News

Here’s the fantasy premier league news of the day with stories about Sinclair, Berbatov, Maicon, Bennett, Carroll, Remy and Everton.  The theme here is think carefullt about the window before making your transfers especially as everyone probably has 3 non playing Cheslea/ Reading players on the bench.

Sinclair to City

I can only see Sinclair fitting seamlessly in to the part of the bench vacated by Adam Johnson.  In home games the trend for mancini seems to be 4-4-2 with Nasri and Silva on either side and away games 1 of them playing with milner coming in.  Im presuming Sinclair went for the cash although I seem to vaguely remember he goes out withsomeone from Coronation St?  Whatever I dont see a bandwagon forming for him.

And fantasy premier league owners of Routledge should also not get too excited as it seems that Swansea are looking at Valencia winger Pablo Hernandez as a direct replacement.  Monitor that before you leap on to the £5.0m revelation to date.

Berbatov to Fulham

Not done quite yet  but a warning here for people looking to purchase Petric or Ruiz both whove been in excellent form and are in my “ones to watch” article this week due that and fixtures.  Its hard to see who would be most at threat here probaly Petric as Ruiz plays behind the striker where Berba would fit in

Maicon to City

Zabaleta oners will be hoping that Mancini continues to blow a gasget with frustration at the City board as this would be  direct competition for him if he is landed.  Im already nervous as Mancini has shown a willingness to play K Toure as a CB which could mean Zab being left out of a  3-5-2 anyway.  Its all a bit academic at the moment with 2 goals per game being conceded but Im confident that wont continue, Im just hoping that Zab will be there to benefit

Boro LB Bennett to Villa

fantasy premier league owners hoping that rotation mad Villa boss Paul Lambert would install my cheapie Stevens in the LB position after a couple of poor defensive performances get ready for more disapointment with the signing of Boro LB and England U21 International Joe Bennett.  Sorry about that but he did play most of pre-season and well (Yes I know this means nothing to Paul Lambert!)

Everton 5 Orient 0

New boy Mirallas got 2 plus 2 assists in this rout and although its hard to read too much in to a game against league 1 opponents it certainly didnt do any hard.  Naismith is already a risk with fellaini up there but does it mean that Moyes will play 2 up top in the easier home games and withdraw Fellaini, just when I was thinking he was a definite option this comes along?  Its not until GW6 that Everton have an easy home game where it could occur so up to then I expect Fellaini to stay behind Jelavic.  Im still happy with Pienaar myself.  By the way “ones to watch”Pienaar Jelavic and more importantly Hibbert were all rested which is good news for future game time.

 Carroll to West ham

No fantasy premier league winners here.  An £8.4m striker to west ham with the other 2 at £5.5m.  They may have great fixtures but hes just too expensive for my blood.  cole is probably the most at risk.  Big sam seems to blow hot and cold on him anyway andtheyre proably too expensive.  will he improve Vaz Te’s returns Im not sure.

Remy to Spurs

All those fantasy premier league managers who’ve installed Adebayor for Rooney be nervous over this although there seems to be alot of dispute as to what’s going on.

Ok thats it for today.  If you haven’t made  a transfer yet hold on until after the window closes tomorrow at 11pm and alot of these issues will be resolved.  Line up article tomorrow as well as news of the day
