fantasy premier league – “ones to watch” cheapie midfielders – GW28

Fantasy Premier League, Player Rankings

Here’s the 2nd part of my fantasy premier league “ones to watch” for midfielders looking at those under £6.0m.  I’ve tried to rank them on gametime security, form and fixtures but there’s enough information there I hope for you to judge how to slot them into your fantasy premier league team.

fantasy premier league – “ones to watch” cheapie midfielders – GW28

1.  Adam (£5.8m)

2 goals and 2 assists in 2 returning games in his last 5.   Now seems to have nailed his place in the team.  Does play in the double pivot but not anything like a box to box player.  Relies on set pieces and long range efforts to get points and does so successfully.   Fantasy premier league point every 17.1 minutes is excellent for the value.  Could possibly even have pens given Walters performance  on the spot.  Reasonable fixtures after the Arsenal game. No blanks in GW28/29 but no DGW.  Could go up in price tonight.

Next 6 fantasy premier league fixtures:

Arsenal (H)
Norwich (A)
West Ham (H)
Aston Villa (A)
Hull City (H)
Chelsea (A)

2.  Snodgrass (£5.9m)

2 goals and an assist and 3 returning games in his last 5.  This included the winner against Spurs at the weekend.  Emotion after by Snodgrass showed his committment to the cause.  A fixture in the side who has good set piece representation  and in the mix for pens.  Has excellent shooting and creating chances underlying stats and that combined with good fixtures should see his returns improve as overall return of a fantasy premier league point every 24.6 minutes is pretty poor.  It’s more about recent improvement and fixtures.  No blanks in GW28/29

Next 6 fantasy premier league fixtures:

Aston Villa (A)
Stoke City (H)
Southampton (A)
Sunderland (H)
Swansea (A)
West Brom (H)

3.  Steven Davis (£4.7m)

1 goal and an assist and 2 returning games in the last 5.  Started the last 14.  Has a good share of set pieces.   Fantasy premier league point every 20.3 minutes is good for the extreme cheapie value. Reasonable fixtures and no blanks in GW28/29

Next 6 fantasy premier league fixtures:

Liverpool (H)
Crystal Palace (A)
Norwich (H)
Tottenham (A)
Newcastle (H)
Man City (A)

4.  Tom Ince (£5.5m)

1 goal and 1 assist in his first 2 games, 1 of which was returning.  Seems to have been given an advanced central position and looks a very good talent.  Early days though so needs a leap of faith that he can hold his place.  25 goals and 20 assists in 67 games in the Championship for Blackpool is a fantastic record and shows the basic talent.   No blanks in GW28/29  although have the postponed game at Everton as an extra game

Next 6 fantasy premier league fixtures:

Swansea (A)
Southampton (H)
Sunderland (A)
Newcastle (A)
Chelsea (H)
Cardiff City (A)

5.  Sterling (£5.7m)

2 goals and an assist in 2 returning games in his last 5.    Nailed on spot now though having started the last 15.   Looks lethal every game and great value for such an advanced player in a free goal scoring Liverpool side.  Fantasy premier league point every 18.1 minutes is good for the value.   Fixture ease is irrelevant for Liverpool.  They score no matter who the opposition are.  Blank in GW29.  DGW31 though

Next 6 fantasy premier league fixtures:

Southampton (A)
– Gameweek 29 –
Man Utd (A)
Cardiff City (A)
Tottenham (H)
West Ham (A)
Man City (H)

6.  Nathan Dyer (£5.1m)

1 goals and 2 assist and 3 returning games.     Plays on the flank but very forward thinking and shot orientated.  A bit of a substitution magnet unfortunately but seems to have got his place back.   Fantasy premier league point every 17.6 minutes which is very good for the value. Blank in GW29.  Have a DGW in the future but as yet unconfirmed date. Unfortunately it’s away to Arsenal.

Next 6 fantasy premier league fixtures:

Liverpool (A)
Crystal Palace (H)
– Gameweek 29 –
West Brom (H)
Everton (A)
Norwich (H)

7. Livermore (£4.7m)

1 goals and 2 assists and 2 returning games.      Becoming a good box to box player with Huddlestone sitting.  Especially strong on the counter attack.    Started every game except 3.  Fantasy premier league point every 25.2 minutes which is very poor but this is about becoming a better attacking player as the season has progressed.   Blank in GW29.   DGW31

Next 6 fantasy premier league fixtures:

Newcastle (H)
– Gameweek 29 –
Man City (H)
West Brom (H) GW31
West Ham (A)  GW31
Stoke City (A)
Swansea (H)

8. Puncheon (£5.0m)

2 goals and 2 returns in his last 5.  No returns in his last 3 though.   Game time secure having started the last 14.  Fantasy premier league point every 22.9 minutes which is only ok for the value.   Very forward thinking player and shoots on sight even though notionally starts on the right.  No blanks but postponed game away to Everton as a future DGW.

Southampton (H)
Sunderland (A)
Newcastle (A)
