executive summary

  • Wijnaldum and De Jong are the form players for  Newcastle. Fixtures are poor though
  • £5.0m Norwich Jerome forward returned to the team and scored again

  • Difficult to predict the Stoke line up although Joselu looking the more likely fwd starter
  • O’Shea looks doubtful to get the nod as CB for Sunderland.  Jones maybe the best option
  • £6.5m West Ham striker Sakho continues scoring
  • £7.5m West Ham mid has been in good form even if he’s expensive

Newcastle

A fairly mixed pre-season so far to say the least with Wijnaldum and De Jong the successes

£8.0m mid Mane – played very well in an adavnced position in the Europa

FPL players of interest

£8.5m mid Eriksen – played centrally in an advanced position

£7.0m mid Chadli – played in an advanced position but gave away a ludicrous pen which wont have helped his chances.

A decent sized squad with 7 new players in and a couple of injuries makes it difficult to work out the lineup.  However fixtures are mixed so looking and waiting maybe the answer.  The weekend didn’t help with a mixed side coming out

FPL players of interest

£6.0m Adam still not a guaranteed starter

£5.0m Odemwingie – new signings and post injury match fitness concerns have reduced his starting chances but played well as a sub against Cologne
