Fantasy Premier League, Player Rankings, Preseason

After the midfield review, here’s my fantasy premier league season review of the forwards where we analyse the performance of 16 forwards in different categories with a detailed table of stats.    We then isolate them in different categories and give benchmarks for future performance as well as provide some analysis of the numbers

fantasy premier league season review – the best forwards of FPL 2014/15

I’ve analysed 16 forwards in order of their FPL points per game ranking.  This is not my ranking of them by the way just an order for the stats to be presented.  I’ve analysed them with what I think are the key stats for players and then ranked them individually below in those key areas divided by price.  As I said in the previous article it’s essential you read the key before reading the stats so you understand them.  I’ve then given a short paragraph on what the stats mean as well as benchmarking good performance for next season.

So what does it mean?

This was the year of the cheap striker making a mockery of their price tag.  Kane led the way with Austin, Sakho, Murray, Cisse and Ings on his tail at some point.

It’s therefore impossible to profile an ideal striker by price as we did for midfielders.

What the stats show is the stand out of Aguero, Costa and Kane plus as I said above the sheer number of cheap strikers.

Firstly it gives you for next year what an ideal player should befor forwards in different categories

The ideal FPL forward

FPL PPG – above 5.0 PPG

An FPL point every 13 minutes or better

A consistency return rate of 50% or better

A 10 FPL points + return of around 20%
