Its also purely theoretical and costs too much to be a real team. The reasoning? Just to help you pick a player if you’re a little unsure who to pick. The chance of immediate points with someone from this team may sway you. Please excuse the fact that I’m only doing the briefest of comments. Some of the players are covered in previous articles this week in my fantasy premier league “ones to watch” articles and defenders in my clean sheet article. By the way I wont pick 2 strikers or 2 midfielders or 2 defenders from the same club. Ill also pick the defender with the best chance of the bonus or attacking points irrespective of the price. So don’t be confused about me selecting someone different from the “ones to watch” articles as that takes a longer term and more value view than this. - Guzan
- £5.0
- 2 clean sheets in the last 3. Not the greatest defence ever but everyone has a chance for a clean sheet against Sunderland
- Ruddy
- £4.9
- Only 3 clean sheets in the first 12 games but as for Guzan, up against Palace everyone has a clean sheet chance. palace have only scored 1 in their last 4. Only against Sunderland have they scored more than once
- Terry
- £6.4
- Finally a clean sheet against West Ham after 6 unsuccessful tries. Southampton have improved as an attacking team but Chelsea have a good chance of keeping them scoreless
- Collins
- £4.3
- You may have conceded 3 in consecutive matches but Fulham always offer a good chance of a clean sheet. They’ve not scored in 3 of their 5 away games.
- Jagielka
- £5.7
- 6 clean sheets for Everton so far. The Liverpool game should be dismissed as a freak result as it came after 3 consecutive clean sheets. Stoke have started scoring with 8 in their last 5 games but I’m still backing a clean sheet here
- Mertesacker
- £5.7
- 3 clean sheets in their last 4. The Arsenal defence is looking strong again. Cardiff have a reasonable home record but I’m banking on Arsenal keeping them at ba
- Zabaleta
- £6.0
- With Michu and Bony injured the defence that’s only conceded 2 goals at home looks a good bet for a clean sheet again.
- Hazard
- £9.3
- Maybe up against a strong defence but the form midfielder has to be considered. A goal and 3 assists in his last 2 games bodes well for the next home game
- Nasri
- £8.1
- Was unlucky in the thrashing of spurs not to return. Playing well and has been consistent returning in 6/12 games.
- Ramsey
- £6.9
- May have not scored in 2 but expect him to be fired up against his old club who are terrible defensively at home.
- Nolan
- £6.7
- Only 1 assist and nothing else i his last 5. However if If he’s ever going recover its against one of the worst defences in the league in Fulham
- Mirallas
- £7.2
After 3 blanks it was a goal and an assist for Mirallas against Liverpool. Good underlying shooting and creating chances stats which hopefully point to continued returns
- Lukaku
- £7.9
- Back in the groove with 2 goals against Liverpool when his movement completely undid them in the 2nd half. Stoke have not been solid away from home.
- Agüero
- £11.7
- You cant write enough superlatives. 6 goals and 5 assists in his last 5. The opposition are irrelevant when at home. Oh and he also has pens.
- Suárez
- £11.9
- With Aguero the best striker in the league. Top quality. 9 goals and 4 assists in his first 7 games. Hull are good at home but haven’t been tested yet on their own ground.
