This week our fantasy premier league team selection article will involve all 3 of the FFGeek teams due to the gameweek deadline tonight 7pm UK time. We’ll talk through the transfers and the team selection issues. At this stage I’ll just be outlining the teams rather than actually making the transfers. It makes no sense at this stage to do it before all the news is out today

So I’ll run through all 3 teams , the FFGeek team, The Bookies odds team and the Shots on target team. There will be a quick intro then I’ll show you the points from last week. Then we’ll show the intended transfer and talk about the likely team lineup. I’ll do a very brief article with the final team lineups around 6pm UK time tonight
The FFGeek Team
Another difficult round with only 1 attacking player returning in the front 7. However I will be wildcarding over the international break which will hopefully give me a chance to rescue things

GW7 transfer – Redmond out – Walcott in
The transfer will be Redmond out Walcott in. This week for alot of people it has been Ibrahimovic vs Sanchez. I would seriously urge anyone to get Sanchez in if they haven’t but for me it would involve the sacrifice of Ibrahimovic. Having made my choice I’m not taking him out now before a Stoke home game and taking a 4 point hit for Sanchez. I’m just sticking with it. I have to say though it was pretty disturbing to see him line up in the Europa. I hope that doesn’t affect his gametime in GW7
The team will most likely line up in 3-4-3 with the defence being Foster – Shaw Kone and Stones. The subs being Friend and Amat. I don’t expect Shaw to play though frustratingly
Captain is likely to be Ibrahimovic
The Bookies team
This is a team based on the anytime goal scoring odds of the bookies. It replaces the attacking player with the worst anytime goalscoring odds for the player with the best anytime goalscoring odds for the next game with no other factors taken into account. It does work within a basic team structure though
Last week it consolidated the previous weeks good score and the rank is excellent

GW7 transfer – Tadic out Lallana in
A bit of a surprising transfer but the bookies quite fancy Lallana although the pricing of Tadic and the 1 attacking player for 1 PL team did mean a couple of players were skipped over.
The team will line up in 3-4-3 with the defence being De Gea – Terry, Lovren, Morgan with subs of Stones and Amat
Interestingly the captain is likely to be Costa
The Shots on Target team
This is a team based on the Shots on Target underlying stat. This is widely thought to be the most accurate predictor of goals. It replaces the attacking player with the Shots on Target stats for the player with the best Shots on Target stats with no other factors taken into account. This disadvantage is that it takes a while for the data to build up to a reasonable sample size although the team is now just seeing results

3 of the 7 attacking players returned which is just about the average you’d be looking for
The transfer will be Mahrez out Coutinho in. Mahrez’s SoT stats so good last year have been hopeless this year
The defence will line up with Foster – Shaw Stones and Friend with Souare and Amat subs. Assuming Shaw doesn’t play and obviously Souare is injured that will mean that Amat will likely come into the team
Captain will be the poll leader. So with no Sanchez or Ibra it’s likely to be Aguero
