fantasy premier league team selection GW10 – the FFGeek team

Fantasy Premier League, ffgeek teams

Here’s my fantasy premier league team selection GW10 article. As is normal, I review GW9, the transfer thoughts, captain choice and the lineup dilemmas.

Firstly if you’re new to the site my last 3 seasons overall ranks are 36k, 17k and 21k.

GW9 review

I went into alot of detail in my early thoughts on the early FFGeek team article about GW9 so I won’t repeat that. Here’s the points and the basic stats:

Gameweek 9

GW9 points: 32 on WC (FPL average 37) Total points 470, Gameweek rank 4,764k, Overall Rank: 998k, red arrow 194k, Team Value: £101.4m

Only 2 returning players both with a measly 5 points and a captain fail again plus a bench fail.

In a spooky repeat of GW8 I scored 32 points and moved back 200k in overall rank to just short of 1 million at 998k. The only difference is I used a wildcard to move back 200k.  The ideal with a wildcard is to get an initial boost not a 200k overall rank drop.

Having said that, nobody should concern themselves with their OR at the moment.  OR is pretty misleading at this stage. In my 10 top FPL managers article their OR spread is 192k to 1,289k. That’s pretty much a 1.1 million difference in overall rank but only 39 points difference. Every single point is roughly 28k OR. So, I’m not  ready to pull my hair out yet.

Transfers

1 free transfer and £0.1m in the bank.

I’d pretty much decided at the beginning of the week I was going to carry over my free transfer so I can have 2 next week and this is what I’m going to do.

Lineup issues

I have 9 players who will start every game and 5 players who will fill the other 2 places 1 of which has to be a defender.

So I have to find 2 places for Soyuncu, Tomori, Lundstram, Cleverly and Cantwell.  You’re never going to win with that maths but you can see below how I’ve done it.

Captain choice

I was originally intending to go for Sterling but after my captain analysis article I’ve changed it to De Bruyne.  I hate changing at the last minute and going against the polls but I’ve decided to anyway for the reasons in the article.
