Introduction
Firstly if you’re new to the site my last 3 seasons overall ranks are 36k, 17k and 21k.
GW27 review
GW27 points: 60 (FPL average 45) Total points 1,584 Gameweek rank 845k, Overall Rank: 56k, green arrow 14k, Team Value: £103.6m
Here’s the points:
I went into quite alot of detail about the gameweek in my early thoughts article. I also talk about my team structure and the blanks and doubles.
So a good week with a 14k green arrow and a gameweek rank of 845k taking me to 56k overall rank. Only my 9th sub 1 million gameweek rank of the season. 6 returning players is pretty good. 9 of the last 11 gameweeks have seen a green arrow.
Transfer thoughts
1 free transfer and £0.4m in the bank
At the moment I only have Grealish and De Bruyne on my bench as players who don’t have a fixture in GW28 although Rico was benched last week so he could be a gametime risk. That would mean I have no one in reserve.
The additional issue is the injury to Martial. It seems that Ole admitted the extent of the injury would not be known until Martial undergoes a scan on Friday. That’s obviously really helpful.
So I have a choice between transferring out Martial or transferring out Grealish. There’s no wrong or right answer here you’ve just got to make a decision. On the one hand Martial is the perpetual injury so not transferring him out is just asking for trouble. I also find it hard to believe OGS will want to take risks with him especially after the Rashford injury fiasco when Ole didn’t exactly cover himself in glory. I’m generally of the belief of transfer out and worry about if he comes back early later.
On the other hand though whats the point in transferring him out if there is uncertainty when I have a player in Grealish who definitely won’t play in GW28 and has tough fixtures after. Martial would at least be some sort of reserve for GW28. Do I transfer out Martial for the prospect that Grealish could have a fixture in the blank GW31?
I have to make a decision so I’m going to stick with what I was planning and that is:
Grealish out and Harvey Barnes in
Lineup
That decision has made the lineup a little trickier although if Martial doesn’t play then it becomes alot easier. I have to choose effectively between Boly, Holgate and Cantwell for the bench spot.
That’s a really difficult one and in the end I’ve gone for putting Boly on the bench although it’s not an easy decision that’s for sure. He goes first bench ahead of Rico

There seem to be various FPL managers hanging around to the deadline in the hope of an announcement of a City or Arsenal DGW in GW29 which I eluded to in my blanks and doubles article. Or if they can carrying over the free transfer. It seems a bit late to me but I wanted to put it out there in case you also wanted to wait
