Introduction

Firstly if you’re new to the site my last 4 seasons overall ranks are 17k, 36k, 17k and 21k.

GW4

GW4 points: 48 (FPL average 43) Total points 214, Overall Rank: 1,829k, red arrow  221k Team Value: £99.5m

I have not used any chips yet

I went in to detail on my team and each player in my early FFGeek team thoughts article so I won’t repeat that but overall a disappointing gameweek with 48 points meaning a 221k red arrow seeing a 1.8 million overall rank from 214 total points.  The wrong captain choice of  De Bruyne over Salah.

transfer thoughts

1 free transfer and £1.1m in the bank

The injury news to De Bruyne for GW5 has made the transfer easy for me and I have transferred in Son who I said in my midfield player rankings probably the best mixture of underlying statsform that wasn’t totally ridiculous compared to last season and has good fixtures in the next 4 games.

So the transfer is:  De Bruyne OUT and  Son IN

Bookies odds for the matches

Here’s the clean sheet and anytime goalscorer odds for the team this week.  The average is £3.51 which is miles worse than last weeks £2.38 which is as good as it gets and still resulted in a red arrow so it’s not positive.

I’ve also included the player classifications which you can get from the early FFGeek team article if you’re not familiar.

Captain

You may have seen my captain analysis article which certainly isn’t conclusive.  I’ve gone for Salah despite what is ostensibly the harder fixture. It’s a 50/50 with Son if there ever was one.

Lineup issues

It was Digne vs Soucek vs Ward Prowse and in the end I went for Ward Prowse who did have the lowest of the 3 bookies odds for ATGS or clean sheets.  Reed is injured and Saliba won’t even make the squad

Here’s the lineup

Good luck everyone!
