Fantasy premier league team tips GW11 – FFGeek contributors show their GW11 teams part 2

Here’s part 2 of the FPL managers who contribute to the FFGeek site with good histories who show their teams each week. This will give people a feel for what other managers are doing. It’s a fairly informal thing with no obligation on anyone and these teams may change at anytime before the deadline without further notice. It also wont cover early transfers. It’s just to give an idea of the trends for the week no more.

You can see the link to the part 1 contributors article here.

Joseph Crilley

Joseph finished with an overall rank of 7k last season and 13k in 16/17

GW10 points: 79 (average 58) Total points 670, Gameweek rank 621k, Overall Rank: 10k, green arrow 6k, Team Value: £103.4m

GW10 review

I think it’s about time that I build a shrine in my flat to Matty Ryan following another clean sheet along with more bonus points which means the Aussie has collected 30 points in the last 3 weeks. Given his low ownership, it feels like he is solely responsible for the green arrows that I have received in that time which have enabled me to rise up the rankings. In fairness to the rest of my team, there were some other contributors to my solid score of 79 in GW10 which has placed me on the edge of the top 10k.

I had 5/11 returners which isn’t particularly impressive but there were four sets of double figures within there, split across each of the positions. The biggest was from Mo Salah who finally broke the 10-point barrier this season and I was fortunate enough to have the armband on him. Meanwhile, Wilson kept up his great form and there was a first attacking return since GW4 for Alonso during Chelsea’s comfortable win over Burnley. Thanks to the four mentioned players, it was a 7th successive green arrow for Dier-bolical XI – one more this week and I’ll surely crack the top 10k!

GW11 Team

Having rolled over the transfer last week, I have two available for GW11 and my plan has always been to utilise these in order to bring Mendy back into my team. The next 5 fixtures look good for City and the flying left back seems to be back in favour which surely means some good returns are coming. The first decision for this move involved deciding which midfield player should be sacrificed to raise the cash and I have elected to finally remove Lucas Moura from my team. In all honesty, I have held onto the Brazilian for too long as he has not returned since GW4 and the opportunity has come along this week.

Before deciding his replacement, I looked to see who would be leaving my defence and it was a straight choice between Alexander-Arnold and Bennett. I had preferred to keep TAA, however it appears that there could be plenty of rotation for him now and I do own Robertson to ensure I have Liverpool defensive cover. Moreover, selling him has enabled me to bring in flavour of the week, Barkley, whereas removing Bennett would have only allowed a cheaper midfielder such as Murphy from Cardiff. In all honesty, I am not 100% convinced by Barkley and I have preferred to avoid the ‘bandwagon’ picks so far this season, but his combination of form and fixtures was too good to turn down.

I had been strongly considering placing the armband on Hazard this week, but Sarri’s words in his press conference have resulted in me defaulting to Aguero. Southampton appears to be a strong fixture on paper so hopefully he can do some damage before his inevitable subbing!

Best of luck to everyone this weekend and may your arrows be green!

This week’s transfer was a bit of an instant decision looking at West Ham’s fixtures going forward.  And Burnley don’t look stable at the back so Joe Hart just had to go.  Captaincy is on Hazard but might change before deadline to Agüero.  I’ll update any changes on Twitter before the deadline.

Good luck everyone and may your arrows be green!!

This week I have 2 free Transfers and both will be for West Ham players given the favourable fixtures. They are also low in price so there is potential of price rises if they deliver.

I wanted Arnautovic of course but given the fact that he was going to take Mitrovic’s place who also has a good fixture I went for Felipe Anderson(differential) in the place of Shaqiri that has gametime concerns and a difficult fixture. This along with the 0.3m I had in the bank gave me an extra 0.5m which I used to upgrade Peltier to Diop! Giving me a player who actually plays and has a good program.

Captain is full on Aguero. He hasn’t given us a double figure return since the Newcastle game so I think its about time!

Good luck!

Mikael Hietala

Mikael finished with an OR of 22k last season

GW10 points: 38  (average 58) Total points 523, Gameweek rank 5,138k, Overall Rank: 1,693k, red arrow 658k, Team Value: £100.8m

Here’s the team for GW 11. I’ve finally lost patience with Moura, but to switch to Martial I needed some extra funds. I expect Liverpool to sweep aside Arsenal this weekend, so Bellerin gets axed and Holebas comes in.
