Introduction
It’s worth noting that the teams shown may not necessarily end up being the final teams or the transfers may have been made in the days prior to the posting . It’s an informal situation to give you an idea of trends. However the FFGeek team and the Contributor tracker team mentioned above on the FFGeek Patreon site all make transfers as articles are posted. So you’re always up to date and live

GW18 Review
A week from hell really dropping from 38k to 55k. I started out with just 6 players after the Villa game was postponed last minute. I swapped Bowen for Foden and took the -4 to get Lacazette for Watkins. Bowen has been a disaster since bringing him in for Raphinha 3 GWs ago with the big fixture swing. Since then Raphinha has returned twice (from penalties which before then he had never taken) and Bowen has blanked twice and had a game postponed. Following this theme Foden was dropped and Lacazette scored just 5 making it a 1 point gain on the hit. He could have had a double figure easily. Cancelo, Jota, Alexander Arnold and Alonso returned but they’re very highly owned so didn’t make much difference. Captain Salah blanked but this made no difference given his ownership/number captaining. I was punished by other Arsenal options, Raphinha and to a lesser extent Man City assets and Son. Very much an everything that could go wrong did but most of this was out of my control, and just have to take it on the chin and move on.
GW19 Preview
1FT 3.6m ITB. Who knows what will happen over the course of the week in terms of further postponements or announcements regarding double gameweeks as predicted but my team on paper have good fixtures this week. The Foden move has meant that I can’t swap Lacazette back to Ronaldo for the juicy Newcastle game in 1 move. Given Lacazette has Norwich I’ll likely leave it a week and roll the transfer. I am tempted to switch Foden to a cheaper asset (back to Bowen maybe) and upgrade Lacazette to Ronaldo for the -4. Depends on whether there’s a hint Foden will be back in the starting xi or not.
In general the aim will be to start moving in players who will now have extra games with rearranged postponements and avoid having to use the second wildcard

Not bad week last week with Cancelo cap.
This week I have gone early bringing in Jacob Ramsey for Gilmour.
No desperate other moves unless Covid hits and a fairly solid bench so I prefer to keep Raphinha rather than lose him given his quality, form and pens. If I had sold then it would have been for Martinelli or Bowen which feel the obvious choices this week.
I have 5 at back currently but I might go 4 man midfield in the end. I will be going Mo Salah cap and maybe Alexander Arnold vice especially given its game 1 and we will know it should be happening. Leeds look shaky as, so Mo Salah will be a shoe in this week. Besides I do have Ronaldo amongst others if I want to change it up last thing.
Transfer wise I got Ramsey in for a budget bench option. Feels more of a threat than Gilmour longer term.
Would like to consider Martinelli, but will be watching Reguilon game time this weekend.
Feels its a good team on paper at least.
Cheers
Ben.

Another survival week for all due to cancellations. Once more I didn’t manage to field a full 11, but came out of the week with a green arrow. The clear winners of the week were the Cancelo captainers (including 4 contributors, well done! I didn’t captain Salah, but instead captained James, so a small gain for me.
As for the transfers, thanks to the advice from fellow contributors I waited to do my transfers until the last minute, which saved me from transferring Watkins. The original idea was to do Ronaldo and Dennis to Watkins and Lacazette. My plan B then became to bring in Mount, but with a lot of uncertainty around the Chelsea game finally I went with plan C and transferred in Tomiyasu. Which was good luck as in he kept the clean sheet being subbed early, or bad luck if he got actually injured. We shall see.
Moving onto GW19, it seems all games are scheduled to go ahead as per the Premier League. But of course who knows with the current Covid situation. Will we know before the deadline? Who knows as well. Therefore, I think best here is to keep tight and not rush any transfers. Wait until close to the deadline, reassess the situation, and take it from there. In my case, I’ve got a good squad now with good fixtures, so no reason to do any moves for now.
As for captain, it doesn’t look like a week to be inventive with Liverpool playing Leeds at home. Salah captain for me, vice in a different game just in case, going with Cancelo.
Good luck all.
