Introduction

This is part 3 of the FPL managers who contribute to the FFGeek site with good histories who show their teams each week. This will give people a feel for what other managers are doing. It’s a fairly informal thing with no obligation on anyone and these teams may change at anytime before the deadline without further notice. It won’t cover transfers in real time either. It’s just to give an idea of the trends for the week no more.  The teams are shown as their “final-ish” teams so they could change.  Where they have twitter accounts I have shown this and they may update them there or on our Slack Channel which is part of our subscription Patreon site but this is not guaranteed

Rick Porter

Rick’s last 4 seasons overall ranks were 29k, 1k, 30k and 2k.

GW29 points: 48  (FPL average 25) Total points: 1,975, Overall Rank: 1k, no rank movement,  Team Value: £105.7m

Rick has used all his chips

I was pretty concerned going into GW29, so a rank drop of just 300 felt like a real win. Veltman’s points helped offset a few disappointments but using my second free transfer to swap Salah for Bale at the last minute proved to be a poor decision. I now want Salah again, so it was a move that will ultimately cost me two FTs for zero points in return.

Transfer

Bringing Salah back in this week was the plan, but I think I’ll sit tight and risk going without him. He’ll definitely be returning soon, but I have benching issues as it is and I’ll appreciate the flexibility more next week when fixtures are tougher.

Besides, right I now have a full Spurs set of Kane, Son and Bale. While I doubt I’ll keep all three for the double in GW32, it seems sensible to wait a week to see how Bale’s minutes and Son’s hamstring injury play out this side of the break before I choose how/when to get Salah back.

Bench

Assuming I make no transfers (and Son is fit) I’ll put Bale first on bench, then Targett and Veltman. I have a few players that saw serious minutes over the last week so I wouldn’t be surprised to see my bench come into play.

Captain

Captain will be Kane again. Bruno vice.

Here’s the team assuming no transfer is made

Costas Chari

Costas’s last 4 seasons overall ranks were 17k, 84k, 29k and 27k

GW29 points:  56 -4   (FPL average 25) Total points: 1,850, Overall Rank: 120k, green arrow:  15k Team Value: £104.9m

Its been ages since last week where I got a 15k green arrow. To be honest I expected more. I got a hit for Bale who did not feature so it was a bit of a mess. I’m on 122k OR at the moment and closer to my goal set in gw24. I was 278k then and hoped for a top 100k OR by gw31 and my wildcard.

The gameweek before a wildcard. BEST TIME IN THE WORLD. This is a week that you HAVE to take a risk as you can fix everything next week.

So if you play the game like I do you are in dreamland. I am taking an 8 point hit. Its Aubameyang out for Havertz who is picking up form and plays as a false nine now that tammy is injured. Dunk is out for Alonso a fun pick for one gameweek. He is 2 weeks rested and they have a CL game midweek so i think Chillwel will sit this one out. Third transfer is the 2 week rested and in form Richarlison for Bobby Reid.

captain on Kane

good luck folks

Transfer summary: Havertz, Alonso and Richarlison in for Aubameyang, Dunk and Decordova Reid

Here’s the team with transfer made

Yaniv Salomon

Yaniv finished with an overall rank of 3k last season and 4k in 18/19 and 8k in 17/18

GW29 points: 41  (FPL average 25) Total points: 1,878, Overall Rank: 60k, red arrow 11k,  Team Value: £107.2m

My final GW30 team, just did Cancelo to Rudiger, big bench headache, this is the lineup for now, going differential Captaincy again with Raphinha (for now…) OR 60k hoping for a big green

good luck all!!!

Transfer summary: Rudiger in for Cancelo

Here’s the team with the transfer made

Chris Tucker

Chris’s last 3 seasons overall rank were 41k, 17k and 1k

GW29 points: 47 (FPL average 25), Total points: 1,823, Overall Rank: 206k,  green arrow 7k,  Team Value: £104.3m

Chris has used his Free Hit Chip, Wildcard and Bench Boost

Chris is on this weeks FFGeek FPL Podcast

I’m intending to move Dan Burn on for Rudiger, but waiting for all the press conferences to be completed before making the move. Rudiger played a lot of minutes for Germany and this is giving further food for thought.

If the Chelsea player comes in, then I’d bench all three of my City assets, reluctantly it must be said.

Captain is currently on Kane but Fernandes is very tempting.

Best of luck to you all.

Transfer summary: Likely Rudiger for Dan Burn
