Introduction

This is part 2 of the FPL managers who contribute to the FFGeek site with good histories who show their teams each week. This will give people a feel for what other managers are doing. It’s a fairly informal thing with no obligation on anyone and these teams may change at anytime before the deadline without further notice. It won’t cover transfers in real time either. It’s just to give an idea of the trends for the week no more.  The teams are shown as their “final-ish” teams so they could change.  Where they have twitter accounts I have shown this and they may update them there or on our Slack Channel which is part of our subscription Patreon site but this is not guaranteed

Looking at Vydra to Davis and then either Holgate to Maguire or Holding to Lindelof. I’d bench Holgate for Lindelof in the second scenario. That also allows for Holgate in the blank if he is still starting

I survived last week’s Liverpool vs Man Utd postponement with the smallest of small green arrows (seven places!)

Heading into gw35 I have 2 transfers and 0.3m itb. On the face of it my team looks ok with 7 doublers, and Bruno Fernandes as my tripler, plus a reasonable bench with Holding (doubling), Vydra vs Fulham and Webster vs Wolves.

I plan to use my two transfers in 36 to move my Leicester players (Castagne, Nacho) to Dallas and Antonio to get 10 outfield players. So I’ve one to use this week, my considerations are:

1 Give Zaha a chance in his two games vs Sheffield United and Southampton, with Son making way. I am slightly fearful as Son could easily punish against Leeds or the final three games of the season. Plus there are suggestions Zaha not fully fit. An alternative is a Manchester United attacker, though that would commit me to a -4 in 36 which I’m not sure is worth it when surely their players will rotate over the three games.

2 Replace Rudiger, especially if I think he won’t play both games. Lindelof could be worth a gamble with three games.

3 Replace Holding who I’m planning to bench and give an extra outfield option in 36. The problem is the options are limited at 4.5m. I’m thinking Ward (4.3) at Palace or Lowton (4.4) at Burnley who both have ok fixtures in 36, plus Burnley have Sheffield United last game of the season.

4 Look ahead to fix my small keeper issue as Forster looks like he’s rotating with McCarthy with a suggestion he doesn’t play in 36 when Mendy has no game. Additionally, Tuchel gives Kepa an occasional game, so I’m considering Pickford, Martinez or Guaita who both double and then play in 36. I could even punt on Henderson playing all three games and move to him (though I’m still left with my Forster issue).
I’m hoping injury news or manager view of rotation helps make my decision. At the moment my most likely is either Holding to Lowton or Mendy to Henderson.

Captain will be Fernandes and Vice on Salah.

OK week for me last week with my Son captain a good plus.

I have a fairly solid lineup of doubles this week. Therefore I plan to leave it alone and roll a FT at this point.

Capt will have to be Bruno Fernandes for triple.
I will vice Salah I think.

Good luck

Ben

Rob Cosgrove

Rob’s last 4 seasons overall rank were 64k, 45k, 40k and 23k

I think I speak for everyone when I say last week was not a gameweek to speak highly about! I played my wildcard last minute after the doubles were announced to set me up for bench boost this week. Now I’m worried about my team because azpili, PVA were rotated and James Rodriguez pulled up in the warm up! Just my luck.

The plan this week was to roll the transfer to tackle the blank gameweek next week as I have 5 blankers but I’m waiting on news of Rodriguez’s injury. If he’s ruled out I will be forced into a transfer and I don’t really have a plan for who to bring in. Now that Liverpool double I could take go straight to Jota. With Man Utd having 3 games then a blank I would have such a dilemma for the blank if I went triple United because I would need a -8 next week to get to 11 playing players so I am ruling out the triple up.

I do feel Azpili may get rotated again because he played against Real Madrid but I’m willing to gamble on Tuchel’s selection. With Van Aanholt who knows – he usually finishes the season strongly so I’m gonna roll with him. I will be waiting on the pressers for news before I make a transfer.

I have 2 players who don’t double in Kane and Lingaard but I’m happy to keep them due to form and fixtures.

Captain is 100% Bruno because of the triple gameweek. Just praying he doesn’t play against Roma tonight so there is less risk of rotation!

Transfer summary; to be confirmed. Possibly Rodriguez out Jota in if injured
