Fantasy premier league team tips GW7 – FFGeek contributors show their GW7 teams part 2
Here’s part 2 of the FPL managers who contribute to the FFGeek site with good histories who show their teams each week. This will give people a feel for what other managers are doing. It’s a fairly informal thing with no obligation on anyone and these teams may change at anytime before the deadline without further notice. It also wont cover early transfers. It’s just to give an idea of the trends for the week no more.
You can see the link to the part 1 contributors article here.
Scott Hargadon
Scott finished with an OR of 70k and 21k OR in 16/17.
GW6 points: 61 on WC (average 52) Total points 409, Gameweek rank 979k, Overall Rank: 37k, green arrow 6k, Team Value: £102.6m
I was happy with the result last week even if I dropped in the FPL Contributors League as I was unlucky not to have a higher score and I still got a green arrow without Salah. My wildcard team of last week was designed to be flexible and have depth to avoid big problems associated with rotation and injuries. I think I have a strong lineup for this week. And my wildcard team has gone up in value considerably since last week.
This week I dropped Mendy in favor of Fabian Delph. City’s home fixture this week against Brighton is on paper the best odds of a clean sheet and Delph frees up enough funds for me to get Kane in for next week if that is the captain play. I cannot see Mendy playing this week.
Robert Cosgrove
Robert finished with an OR of 20k last season and 23k in 16/17
GW6 points: 57 (average 52) Total points 393, Gameweek rank 1,751k, Overall Rank: 97k, red arrow 6k, Team Value: £102.0m
Just a quick one this week, I was thinking of swapping Walcott for Richarlison but felt like a waste of a transfer, so I am rolling it over to next week
Jordan Sadler
Jordan finished with an overall rank of 76k last season
GW6 points: 65 (average 52) Total points 401, Gameweek rank 570k, Overall Rank: 61k, green arrow 29k, Team Value: £102.3m
Gameweek 6 review:
Pretty good week by all accounts: 7 returns including my captain Salah. Going into Sunday without Hazard on only 51 points wasn’t ideal but my wishes came true of a Hazard blank and Chelsea clean sheet so I certainly can’t complain. Mane, Moura, Richarlison and Wilson all blanked for me but I’m not too concerned about any of them currently. Moura’s underlying stats have been pretty poor the last 3 games but he has Huddersfield and Cardiff as his next two so hopefully he can pick up good points from that (assuming he’s not dropped). All in all happy with the gameweek and it gave me a nice green arrow.
Transfers:
With Mendy still out injured I decided to transfer him out for Trippier as he has good attacking threat for a defender and he has Huddersfield and Cardiff as his next two games. I considered bringing in Robertson or Shaw but I don’t trust United and I’d rather wait for Chelsea and Man City to be out the way before bringing in a Liverpool defender.
Couple of things I’ve noticed for the future is that Moura’s games turn after GW9 and Wilson’s games turn after GW10 so I will be wanting to transfer both of those out after those gameweeks. I also want to bring in a Liverpool defender once they’ve played City in GW8, that will likely be Trent AA for Luiz.
Bench Decisions:
I don’t want to double up a Chelsea defence that’s taking on Liverpool so Luiz will be benched this week. Hughes has a tough game against Arsenal away so he will also be on the bench. For the final spot it’s between Wan-Bissaka and Ings. The issue I have is that I have Wilson playing who’s against Wan-Bissaka’s Palace and Doherty playing who’s against Ings’ Southampton. I’ve decided to go with Ings as it’s far more likely one of Doherty or Ings returns than it is one of Wilson or Wan-Bissaka as Bournemouth also have King and Fraser scoring goals unlike Southampton.
Captain:
Aguero for obvious reasons.
Good luck with gameweek 7.
Mikael L Danielsen
Mikael finished 100k OR last season and 5k in 16/17
GW6 points: 70 -4 (average 52) Total points 393, Gameweek rank 246k, Overall Rank: 99k, red arrow 51k, Team Value: £102.4m
