Introduction

This is part 4 of the FPL managers who contribute to the FFGeek site with good histories who show their teams each week. This will give people a feel for what other managers are doing. It’s a fairly informal thing with no obligation on anyone and these teams may change at anytime before the deadline without further notice. It won’t cover transfers in real time either. It’s just to give an idea of the trends for the week no more.  The teams are shown as their “final-ish” teams so they could change.  Where they have twitter accounts I have shown this and they may update them there or on our Slack Channel which is part of our subscription Patreon site but this is not guaranteed

Costas Chari

Costas’s last 4 seasons overall ranks were 17k, 84k, 29k and 27k

GW8 points: 75 – 8 (FPL average 55), Total points: 477, Overall Rank: 627k,  green arrow: 118k,  Team Value: £101.8m

Costas has used his first wildcard

GW8 seems ages ago…. I risked an 8 point hit and it paid off! Saiss, Mitrovic and Pulisic out for Werner Soucek and Bellerin. That was a 120k green arrow that ill take after an 8 point hit.

I have seen all the transfer movement and wildcards during this International week and everyone goes for the cheaper Ziyech instead of Werner. I’ll take it :), i said it in my last weeks article that now on pens Werner will be a great differential for me.

Gw9. whats going on people??? injuries, covid outbreaks, its NUTS. I am happy not be wildcarding this week as I would be inclined to add players that I really don’t want just because some good options are flagged. Most wildcarders will be spending their next week transfers to bring in the players they wanted initially.

Transfers.

Hits and differentials (normal Costa’s style of play) seem to go well with me like peanut butter and jelly so I will continue this tactic. Its Kane and Son out this week. Thanks for the memories and the points boys but FPL is not a sentimental game. Richarlison is in ! I get the Calvert Lewin hype- i was if you remember some of the few that had him from GW1 because (and i am quoting myself) at 7.0 he is far better choice than all the 6.5 forward at an Everton team creating for him… and I was right…. BUT he is the same price at Richarlison now and lets face it Richarlison is the star player of the team and on pens. at 3% owned he goes straight in.

Bruno comes in for Son. I need a United cover for the WBA game and since Rashford still is not cleared fit I went with Bruno.

SALAH…. did you really had to hug and kiss everyone at the wedding and get Covid? now…. I am contemplating (my head is going to explode from overthinking it actually). I will either leave him on the bench and hope he plays next week OR he is out for De Bruyne and i get another 8 point hit.

……. I am even thinking of getting him out and with a couple of hits getting both Sterling and De Bruyne on GW10 and sticking until gw15 with both of them and NO SALAH. Thing is Liverpools form and injuries are really putting me off so might risk it a bit. With Jesus back City will probably be reminding us of their old selves?

Captain.

I was thinking of Richarlison but he is a differential anyone so i wont go all in on him. Grealish… hmm i think the game ends a 1-1 so not backing him…. then I am left with Werner and Bruno, currently on Bruno as he is the captain favorite, I will tweet if I change

Transfer summary:  Kane and Son OUT.  Richarlison and Bruno Fernandes IN

  1. It’s slightly annoying that I am getting the adblocker detected complaint when I have disabled all of the adblocker settings I have. Perhaps you could give a hint about what is being detected?

  2. Sorry Costas I don’t get your justification regarding “I’m glad I’m not on a wildcard because there are so many injuries”. I’ve got everyone in I wanted except Chilwell but I can’t currently afford him. Good luck anyway.

    • Thing is if i was wildcarding i wouldnt have salah in the team i wouldnt want to have transfers planned on players just after wildcarding

  3. @ peedub, been getting the same from last night.

Does anyone else get anxiety just reading up on Costas’ chaotic madness style of play?

    • Haha believe me im more nervous than anyone i just have this “thing” that if i dont like my team i have to change it regardless of hits and i dont like being too attached to the template.

Im also thinking of a – 8 ill tweet it if i do
